I took my parents here a few weeks ago. They were familiar with the place, I was not. VERY good service, reasonable prices, good wine, very good spanish based cuisine. I had the steak in foie gras sauce, which was very nice, the sauce complementing the beef wonderfully. For dessert (and I'm really not a dessert guy), the goat's cheese... More

After reading all the wonderful reviews about this partular restaurant, my mother and I decided to try it. I have been to Spain and live in the city of Chicago where excellent Spanish food is served. The experience at this place was good and bad. The staff and waiter was amazing. Extremely attentive, caring, and knowledgeble. The wine selection was... More

Best fish I've ever had. Outstanding service and food. Enjoyed having the chef personally inquire about our dining experience.

This was our first time at Casa Tomas and everything - food, service, ambiance - was terrific. I had the duck confit which was " melt in your mouth" good. Next time I will try some of their fish or seafood. Highly recommended.

Casa Tomas is in a nice old Colonial building with a great wrap-around covered terrace. It a first class operation in every way. Attentive and courteous waiters, excellent chefs who take great pride in what they put in front of you. We've been here many times and even hired two of their chefs to cater a private birthday party in... More

We had a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Tomas on our first visit to the restaurant. Lovely baby calamari, marlin flautas, and seabass prepared two ways. Excellent service, the seafood was cooked perfectly (probably the best marlin dish I've had in Mexico so far as it can be dry at times, and the flautas were moist on the inside with... More

Casa Tomas is unpretentious. The focus is the food and not the ambience. And it shows in spades. It is the only restaurant in GDL that offers fresh baja oysters ( as well as mussels and clams) . I understand they are flown in daily from Ensenada. They taste mostly like the PEIs full of seafood aroma. Other seaplates are... More

I tried this once with my gf. The food was tasty but the portion was small as is the style in fine restaurants. The service was good and price-wise the place wasn't too bad. I could visit the restaurant again. My girlfriend wasn't too impressed and said she wouldn't.
