Description: Very elegant (and expensive) restaurant that has rapidly gained fame for its excellent cuisine and beautiful surroundings. Run by ex head chef of another Cuernavaca top-range restaurant-hotel Las Mananitas. I really liked the place. It was my first time there and I was enchanted by the cuisine and the service. Everybody is welcome there as I saw all kind of people (young, old, couples, big families, etc) At the end of our meal, the waiters suggested to take our dessert at the terrace and garden area which we really... We love El Madrigal. Great food, great service and a charming atmosphere. If you come to Cuernavaca it is a "can't miss" place to eat.

This is an excellent upscale restaurant, with great food, excellent service and very nice relaxed chic atmosphere. We went there for breakfast with a group of family members and friends, when we arrived the place was full and there was a waiting list to get a table. although we were a group of 8, it didn't take more than 30... Madrigal is one of those big estate restaurants - mostly outdoor/indoor; great art, gardens etc but very overpriced and ordinary food. Not much of a flavor of Mexico and as continental goes, wait till you get home to Europe or the states

The truth is, lots of people go there because of "Las Mananitas" nostalgia. (El Madrigal´s owner is the former manager of the once iconic restaurant Las Mananitas. It is the place to see and being seen for the 45-65 year old people. Like a country club with regular food. This is an big mansion like place with a very well... More

I had some reservations about dining in El Madrigal, price among them. It was a perfect evening. Excellent food, service and margaritas. Price was high, but not as high as I feared.

Had a business dinner at Madrigal the other day and was very pleased by the experience. The setting was wonderful. With a great garden, the restaurant is completely open to it providing a great view from every spot. The service was excellent and the food did not disappoint. I would highly recommend going to lunch or dinner if you are... More

Loved the fact that there was an 'a la carte' menu on Dec 24th so each family member could eat what they wanted instead of having to eat a set menu!!!! There were 8 of us...we had a delicious meal with great service and it worked out at a very fair cost.

El Madrigal was first introduced to my husband and me by a local. To our delight, the place is set far away from the bustle of Cuernavaca's downtown. The grounds are lovely and the plants and flowers illuminated in the evening. Live music is always top-notch. The atmosphere is elegant, yet relaxed. While a reservation is recommended, the host will... More
