Consistent

Consistent food and service. The Cuernavaca location is a lovely old building that we try to visit each time. The desserts are quite nice.

Sanborns (Paseo de La Reforma Cuauhtémoc Distrito Federal, Mexico) My experience with the food and service was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was good. Cons: The floor manager treated his employees badly in front of the customers. I was feeling really bad for his actions. He told the waitrees that she need to pay the... More

Sanborns is Sanborns again. But the building is really nice and the bar service is amazing. They hold happy hours (2x1 on national spirits) from 2-3 and then again from 7-8. You sit outside and look at the gardens. Excellent.

As in other cities in Mexico, the Sanborn's restaurant chain has bought interesting historical houses in order to convert them to clones for their mediocre food. As in Mexico City's Casa de los Azulejos, you eat there in order to feel the place, not taste great food. As all Sanborn's, overpriced for the simply average quality.

Sanborns is the Mexican Woolworths. The Woolsworths from the 1960's. You can eat there, buy fingernail polish, antibiotics and pay too much for a handbag made in China. I try to avoid it, but their pastry shop is calling my name.

Sanborns offers a wide variety of tasty dishes and all of which are good and not over spiced. I also like the fact that I can get food like home while I am traveling.
