We had the lamb and scallops - the lamb was outstanding and the scallops were very good. The atmosphere was a very large hacienda with all rooms open to the patio. We both enjoyed the service and food. It is located close to the plaza in the Central. more

I took my girlfriend on a romantic dinner, she got fish and I had a try of it. Three hours later we were both vomiting for hours, thank god I am a dioctor and we took some injections of antiemetics. I never had a worse food poisoning in my life more

This past week I have had the pleasure of dinning at Gaia. I ordered the Shrimp with the Tamarind Sauce and even after living on the coast for 20 years, this is the finest Shrimp dish I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The beautiful setting in a restored colonial casa, the expensive linens and crystal and romantic candles just don't make up for the pricey food and inattentive service. At these prices ($50+pp) I expect more. Chef (Andrea Bianchi?) attempts a Mexican-Mediterranean fusion menu, but it just isn't working.
