I must confirm the previous reviewer, it is closed. Last time I was in Zihuatanejo, I ate here 4 times, the food was good.

Sorry to report that they have closed. The road construction for an entire season, plus the out of the way location, most likely contributed to their demise. It's sad. Of course there are alternatives, and the best purely from a taste/price perspective is to eat in the municipal market at Fonda Lupita, which serves the best food in this area,... More

I didn’t discover Sixtino’s until the last day of our stay, when I stopped in for a light lunch on my way to shopping downtown. I had the fish machaca - the last portion for the day. It was heavenly. Met the owner and had the place to myself on this July afternoon. Like it so much, we came back... More

My best dish recommendation would be the Fish Machaca with tamarindo sauce ... absolutely delicious!

We dined at Sixtinos in March and enjoyed the quiet and pleasant surroundings. I had octupus ajillo which was outstanding! Everyone in our group had seafood also and they enjoyed it. The owner is a gentleman and goes out of his way to pelase his guests. Can't wait to get back to Zihua, especially the restaurant row in La Madera.

Aside from being some of the freshest, most authentic and eclectic variety of Mexican seafood dishes, this restaurant offers the top casual dining experience in Zihua. It is a family run business with their own takes on traditional favourites. There is nothing on the menu that won't satisfy; if you are a visitor, I strongly encourage you to order "outside... More

Sixtino's is a newer offering in the beach town of Zihuatenejo. The owners greet guests warmly, speak English or Spanish and offer a wide array of seafood prepared with creative methods. A minimum of oils are used in their dishes. I must admit I have a weakness for great key lime pie, and theirs is an original recipe, the best... More

I've been going to Zihuatanejo for a long time and have eaten just about everywhere. Most restaurants there are pretty forgettable, i.e. the 2 fer 1 margarita places on the paseo with the people waving menus at the gringos as they walk by. There are exceptions of course, and when Fortino's opened on the street behind the paseo a number... More

This quiet little place is top notch. The owner is an artist who prepares simple little meals with flair. We returned 2 days in a row. The octopus was cooked to perfection and the 3 different salsas (including a mango salsa) were refreshing and a great addition to whatever you ordered. Dont forget the lemon pie!!!!!!

Near Madera Beach, unassuming little restaurant, food was outstanding and service attentive.
