My wife and I spend three months a year in Ixtapa and Zihua. While there we dine out every night and El Agave is definitely one of our go-to favorites. The owner, Leo , is a most personable and friendly host. His margaritas are as good as any and better than most. Leo prides himself on putting his own spin... More

This is an exceptional restaurant In town and upstairs on a second floor veranda you will find some truly first rate meals. The chiles rellenos are perhaps the best I've ever had. The chilli is not battered or fried, rather it is grilled, peeled, and the stuffed with mashed potatos and cheese and covered in a simple tomato sauce. The... More

The wait staff was very friendly, timely and helpful. It was also a great change of pace to find a location with a wine selection after many days of beer and tequila! Would definitely recommend.

I discovered it because it looked comfortable and nice from the outside. The food was even better than I would have expected. Shrimps wrapped with bacon are delicious. The service was a little slow but very kind.

located above the street and makes it hard to locate..but the service was great, value was definitely there...loved the seafood pasta, fresh fish and was disappointed with the spinach salad( extremely small portion-tasted great) the owner/server had the kitchen take care of a couple of allergy issues with our party of 6 and everybody loved the food.

Definitely a little hard to find as it is a small little place on the second floor with not really good signage. It's probably one of those places you happen upon when looking for someplace else. Some other tourists we met recommended it, so we tried to find it. None of the local nearby shops even seemed to know where... More

The ambience is wonderful; a small second floor balcony overlooking a colourful street. The service is first rate; the servers are friendly, informative and will address you in English or Spanish as you choose. The food selection and quality is first rate; the prices are moderate. Great choice

This second floor restaurant overlooks a busy one-way street in the heart of the tourist section of downtown Zihua. Lionel, the owner, presides over one of the best restaurants in the city. The decor and ambiance.are first rate, the mixed drinks are exquisite and everything on the menu is first rate. And it all comes at a an amazingly reasonable... More
