Agave came highly rated, but was a disappointment after hearing so many great comments about it. The food was okay, but nothing special.

My wife and I took our children here and had a really enjoyable experience. Don't let the street scene turn you away, once upstairs it is a beautiful retreat with great presentation and food. The setting is refined and casually elegant and the service is outstanding. The margaritas are freshly handmade and some of the best we have had here....

Having had wonderful, local, inexpensive Mexican cuisine for a few days, we were ready for a "step up" in terms of decore and presentation yet still right in the middle of town. This place fit the bill quite well, with a little more thought put in to the dishes and presentation. The second story balcony allows for a nice street...

We always go here when we are in Zihua because the food is alway excellent and it is served in a way that you feel you are at a 5 star gourmet restaurant. You wouldn't expect to get that kind of presentation on a side street in Mexico. The restaurant sits upstairs overlooking the street and you get a nice...

The restaurant is in the Centro, on Nicolas Bravo on a second floor and is a nice hidden gem. Nicely appointed with pictures with lighting, candles and a fresh breeze to enjoy overlooking a bustling area of Zihua. On this occasion we chose to enjoy a seafood evening with an octopus appetizer and two different types of fresh fish poached...

This was a great place you go upstairs and can look out over the street. The Chili Releno was excellent.
You'll be totally surprised by the variety and quality of menu and selection. Great value for gourmet prepared choices for seafood, chicken, pasta, and beef all prepared in unique way. Wine list a bit limited but enough choices to pair with the meals. We celebrated St.Valentines day and had a table over looking the street and enjoyed the service. Note...

I do not have a negative thing to sayabout this place. Charming atmosphere, very clean, great service and very good food. You sit upstairs overlooking the street which I always like. In hot zih there is actually a nice breeze up there I highly recommend. I had the stuffed chilli releno. There spinach salad was excellent. Very fair prices.
We read the Trip Advisor reviews and decided to give Agave a try. It was so incredible that we ended up eating here 3 times. The restaurant is immaculate, crisp tablecloths, attractive watercolors on the wall, candles on the tables, overlooks a quiet street from the second floor, has a nice breeze plus fans, and wonderful personalized service by the...

I read lots of reviews about Agave on Trip Adviser - which is why we chose to go there. The restaurant is on the second floor with a nice view of the streets below. The food was very good but unfortunately the restaurant was virtually empty. There was a table of two when we arrived, they left shortly after and...
