Average restaraunt all the way around. The musician that came in during dinner was amazing he played the guitar, the harmonica? and sang while moving around. Good place to go for a meal

My boyfriend and I LOVE El Manglar! We have decided that it is the best place to get food during both of our trips to Zihua (Jan 2014 and Jan 2015). My boyfriend loves Mexican and seafood but on most occasions needs to get his protein from chicken and says that El Manglar has the best chicken selections in the... More

My family and friend visited El Manglar for dinner during our stay in Zihua based on many glorious reviews from the locals. Our waiter recommended the 27 spice tuna which my friend and I both ordered. The experience was followed by a night of retching and Montezuma's revenge by both of us. We did order it rare / seared but... More

Como se llama, cocodrillo? Me llamo Guero. So here's a tip. If you want to maybe see the 5 or 6 cocodrillos who live in the lagoon near Playa La Ropa, go to this restaurant for a late lunch. The food is very good and it's a great place to possibly see a croc. Especially since the workers at the... More

You cannot beat the setting just off La Ropa beach, we like to dine at a table next to the river and see the crocodiles! The food is always amazingly fresh and there are plenty of seafood dishes to choose from. The seafood ceviche is my favorite! Value for money, too!

Crossed over the bridge and ate lunch in this shaded open air hideaway. The burgers, taco soup, chicken fajitas, calamari can all be recommended. Service, price and quality excellent.

Even though this restaurant is on the beach, it is quite shady and sheltered by trees. There are birds, iguanas, and even crocodiles in the inlet. Don't worry--the crocs stay in the water. It is such a pleasant and interesting environment. The food is really tasty, especially seafood. The price is moderate for Zihuatanejo. The service is really great. The... More

We've been enjoying El Manglar restaurant for years, and it is one of our favorite eating spots on La Ropa beach. It's right next to the estero (estuary) near the southern end of La Ropa and the end of the La Ropa bus line. Look for the wooden bridge to access the restaurant from the beach, or drive into the...
