A lot of places claim to be for the "locals" but this place actually is where they eat. The name means "crazy potato" in English and that is their speciality. Huge baked potato's filled with buttter, sour cream, cheese and then a variety of meats. Their tacos al pastor and pico de gallo are the best I've ever tasted. Nothing on the menu is more than $50 peso's or about $4usd. Very popular spot with the locals and tourist's that want to experience authentic Mexican food..

The place is hoping... The baked potatoes are great and very filling. I had the papa chingona.. Translates to the f'ing potato.. Bacon, tomato and shrimp. The tacos al pastor are really good. Our waitress was really sweet. I can't say anything negative. It's a very simple place.. If you're looking for fancy this ain't it.. Clean and delicious

All taxi drivers will know where La Papa Loca's is near downtown. Amazing small local restaurant with the best loaded baked potato ever. We went three times in two weeks it was so delicious.

We were shown this restaurant by a local and definitely was not sorry. We went back more than once. Cheap excellent food. Loved the pastor tacos and the service.

After reading the reviews my wife and I can hardly wait to try the potatoes. Little disappointed, I ordered the special, just too much meat and cheese and not enough cream on the potatoes. Should have just suck with the Basic Papa. The best baked potatoes in Zihua is still the Rubens, it is fluffy and properly buttered and creamier.

Always busy! Baked potatoes with whatever you like. I like the Crazy Potato..who knew pineapple on a baked potato would be tasty? They also have pastor to go on it..yummy! Sauces make it spicy as you like it. Cheap eats!

the food is the best, the stuffed potatoes here are the bomb! It's just a little place but with a Big Bang of fantastic food, we love this place every time we are in the area we go at least 2-3 times! I wish we had one in Canada!

when you see sausage on the item description--this ain't chorizo---------yep hotdogs. Urrrrchh. more hotdogs than potato. To be fair it seems that we hit it on a bad night cause my friends love the place. It's cheap no atmosphere--oops I'm going off again
