Service beyond compare-Mauricio the magnificant!

I visit Zihuatenejo often, probably once a year. Every time I go I eat at El Arrayan at least 3 or 4 times for either breakfast or dinner or both. Why? The food is great. It not fancy and it's not street food, it's just solid, delicious food prepared with fresh ingredients and the menu is ever-changing based on what... More

Mauricio and Veronica run this small storefront restaurant on Calle Adelito in the Madera neighborhood of Zihua just a short walk from Playa la Madera. The food is excellent and carefully prepared. There is outdoor seating in a lovingly landscaped spot along the sidewalk with several hummingbird feeders in the trees. We visited for both breakfast and dinner on more... More

It's not downtown, but rather in La Madera on Calle Adelita, which you get to by turning left just before the roundabout if you are coming driving down the Playa la Ropa road. The restaurant is right beside one of the two footbridges that cross the canal. The chef cooks the entrees outside on a BBQ. This delightful man can... More

We read good things about El Arrayan on Tripadvisor before visiting so it was on our list of places to try. It was so good we ended up eating there two nights in a row. The fish changes daily based on the catch of the owner's local source. The first night it was swordfish and the next tuna. Both so... More

The chef is very nice. I made a reservation and they had our table waiting for us. Everything was delicious. Steaks, fish and salad were great.

My husband insisted we go back a second time. Why? Because he had to have the cheese stuffed shrimp covered in bacon ... Need I say more.

We went through the list of the top-listed restaurants and liked this one the best, mostly for the the excellent food (try their coconut shrimp with Mango-sauce) but the athmosphere at the side-walk tables and the friendly staff added to a nice experience. The chef/owner cooks most of the food on the grill and all ingredients are fresh and tasty.... More

We had read the reviews of El Arrayan on TripAdvisor so we were excited to try it. It's a family run business and the tables were outside across this pretty little street. We called beforehand and reserved a table for 6 which was waiting for us when we got there. The service is wonderful. We were waited on by the... More

It was our first time in Zihuatanejo, so we looked on Trip Advisor, the day that we arrived to see what restaurants were available in town. Once we saw the reviews of El Arrayan we were very intrigued and we knew we had to try it. Well we definitively weren't disappointed, the food was beyond delicious, fresh and local. The... More
