Pozole Thursdays!

Casa Vieja serves pozole on Thursdays from 2pm until it runs out, and it's something we try to hit at least once when in town.  After a four year hiatus from visiting Zihua, we were happy to return to Casa Vieja and find the pozole still in effect and still delicious.  You can pick red, green or... read more

It was pretty empty close to our hotel. Nice waiter but a lousy piece of fish and awful veggies. Over priced. Sorry but they could have done a lot better

After we had our favorite meal of the trip Friday, we returned for brunch Sunday. It was even better! It's a buffet with authentic Mexican options, an egg's any style bar, and handmade tortillas while you wait.

5 stars easy! Best breakfast and most relaxing atmosphere that I came in contact with on my recent trip to Zihuatanejo. Was highly recommended by others in the area. Brunch is served only on Sundays. Lunch and dinner on the rest of the week. Brunch on Sunday is buffet style. Attentiveness is 10 stars. Ask for Ray, a very kind... More

Food- mediocre. My mahi mahi was dry and overcooked. Plain steamed vegetables ie carrot, tiny cawliflower and broccoli. Service-excellent Price- way overpriced Music- poor singer with electric keyboard playing Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Satchmo. I felt like I was eating supper in an old age home. There were only two other tables that were occupied. I thought it was... More

We had a lovely dinner with excellent service at Casa La Vieja. Large portions, fresh salads and vegetables. Ray was a delightful waiter and the complimentary Chalula liqueur at the end of the meal was delightful !

It has been several years since our last visit to La Casa Vieja. We decided to stop in on our last night of vacation and we were not disappointed. J.R. remembered us from years past and we were so happy to see him. We ordered way too much food because we wanted to taste all of our old favorites. The... More

We love the traditional Mexican breakfast buffet served at La Casa Vieja. Even during the busy holiday week, they set up a table for 10 people, and served us quickly. The buffet includes traditional Mexican food and service, and also has a fresh griddle with eggs made to order. The pancakes are also the best I have ever had! Not... More
