The Tides is very good

The food is good but the out look is amazing. The wine list is very extensive and the waitstaff is well-trained. The bartenders are exceptional and the drinks are really quite fun. And if you spent time there you must go to the tequila bar. It's not to be missed.

Great ocean view, great service, delicious food. We were warned about the steak here by another guest at the hotel so we were a little wary about the food but it turned out to be delicious! I wouldn't order a steak so close to the sea anyway, especially being from the states were we have awesome beef. Husband and I... More

If you have a single romantic bone in your body - you must take your wife here. This has always been unique, eating on Zihua Bay, sand between your toes, or at the bar, under the palapa, or around the place under the stars.

La Villa menu Mexican, but enough choices for my Gringo palate. Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner consistently good food and service. La Marea menu more Continental. Dinner by candlelight with toes in the sand! Very good food and excellent service. Many of the waiters have been here since original owner of Villa del Sol and they are the best. Location, Outstanding Very... More

I stayed here while it was The Tides, now Viceroy from what I've read. The service was unlike I've ever received, from arrival to departure. The tequila tasting for two was exceptionally both romantic, fun, educational and exclusive. Dinner on the beach was comfortable and cuisine superb! I have a low sodium allergy and the chef was able to accommodate... More

W have stayed at the Tides for years .... originally Villa del Sol. The rooms are very nice. Quite an assortment to pick from. If you want to stay at lower nightly cost try room 33. On the higher end are the Beach Suites. Beach Suite 10 has an awesome location and view. For something dramatic try a Penthouse room.... More

Dinners at both restaurants at the Tides (now Viceroy) were always romantic and by or on the beach :-)

You cannot find a better place to celebrate a special event than the Tides in Zihuatanejo ! My wonderful husband organized a romantic dinner on the beach with candlelight supper, flowers and even a birthday cake for my 60th birthday. I was blessed not to only be with the love of my life but also with 6 of our dear... More
