Delicious meal, amazing view!

Kau Kan was recommended to us, and did not disappoint. You have to look for it or you'll miss it on Escenica La Ropa. We were greeted and brought upstairs to their outdoor patio, our server was excellent and took great care of us. The view of La Madera beach is spectacular! The appetizer and... read more

This restaurant has been our perennial favorite. During our recent visit on a Friday night with friends the food was exceptional. The roasted chicken, the veal osso bucco and everything including the desert was great. The chef is the owner. We could not wait to go back unfortunately we decided to go Valentines Eve. A disastrous mistake. The place was... More

The view is incredible but the main was heavy on oil and the wine list was limited. French Onion Soup was delicious and desserts incredible. Worth visiting for the view

We went to dinner last night as a farewell to friends who were visiting us. We arrived at sunset and the view was amazing. During the course of the evening we watched the hills light up as we ate our delicious meal. We started with cocktails and appetizers of marlin cerviche and an olive and crab tart. We shared two... A group of 9 of us enjoyed an excellent meal with great service and an amazing view! The entries of Mahi Mahi, red snapper, and seafood pasta were the favorites. The potato stuffed lobsters is a specialty, and very tasty. We will definitely be back there in April!

Our go-to beautiful dinner. Service is lovely; setting, gorgeous; food, excellent. We went for Christmas Day dinner, which we never do, since we usually follow the Mexican tradition of having Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve (Noche Buena). But it POURED rain all day Christmas Eve, and we had had plans to eat at Coconuts, which has an outdoor courtyard. We... More

We had nine amazing dishes. I particularly recommend the warm tomato salad (you may never eat a tomato again the same way), and the red snapper. But all the food was great, including the desserts. Sadly, the place seems empty and rundown, with broken light bulbs and shabby furniture. I also think the staff were not were not well trained,... More

Kau Kan is a long established and solid restaurant that may be a bit past it's prime. The dining room is a bit dated and the view does not seem as elegant and vibrant as it was during our last visit some ten years before. The food and service remains solid, though nothing really excites, though the wine list is... More

We wound up at Kau Kan as a fallback after being unable to go to our first choice, but we wound up happy. At first we were very surprised and a little apprehensive to find we were the only diners in the restaurant. Alfonso, our waiter, explained that the season was winding down. Many times in that situation the staff... More

This may have been the most perfect fine-dining experience I've ever had. The views from this place are incredible, the service was exemplary, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Highly Recommended!!!
