We always go to this restaurant with a group of friends. We get a long table, order food, wine and have Mexican coffee. It just does not get any better than that. It really is a beautiful place to dine outdoors. Great service and food!

This was our third dinner out in Zihuatanejo, and by far the best. The tuna sashimi was amazingly fresh, the salad was great, and the entrees were all cooked to perfection. The staff was knowledgable (our waiter had worked there since 1981) and good humored. The winelist contained decent California wines which which we were all familiar. The desserts were... More

We went to Coconuts on the last night of our vacation and wished we had tried it sooner! Beautiful indoor garden seating, live music, fantastic service and wonderful food. The managers of the restaurant came over to speak to us and ask about our meal. When we seemed to have gotten a 'corked' bottle of wine, they were eager to... More

Coconuts is a stop on our Zihua tour each year -- the restaurant has a lovely layout and is in a perfect location downtown. Arturo has been working there as long as we've been visiting and his service is excellent -- we return to the restaurant time and time again for his service and the ambience more than the food.... Coconuts is a favorite spot in my group's annual trip to Zihuatanejo . The atmosphere is magical with all the twinkling lights, the service is outstanding, the meals delicious, the entertainment always a pleasure --- and this year we topped off a lovely meal with a chocolate martini! Could not have been a better evening out. Don't miss Coconuts if... More

We found this restaurant completely by accident and are so glad we did. The food was the best we've had in Zihuatanejo and plan to go back every time we visit. The sangria was delicious and the coconut shrimp was amazing. A gorgeous locale!!

We had 2 couples and our four children and the best meal of our week at Coconut's! The coconut shrimp was amazing as was the shrimp fettuccine. The Hearts of Palm salad was an excellent way to start off this beautiful meal. All 8 of us left stuffed and happy with sincere promises to be back as soon as we... More

Coconuts has long been my favorite restaurant in Zihuatanejo, especially for the ambience-- twinkling lights among the foliage of an outdoor patio, dining beneath the stars. The menu is varied and never fails to please. What I especially enjoyed on a recent visit was the tapas menu in the bar. I am a big fan of pate', and the pate'... More

This is a nice oasis in a sea of sports bar-type restaurants. In the courtyard of an old house, it's beautifully lit with nice, low key, live music. Everything we ordered was good: asparagus, calamari, seared tuna. The tuna was the largest order I've ever seen, just beautiful. All the sauces were very good, and the wines nice. That said,...
