Favorite restaurant in PV

I love this restaurant! I have been here several times since 2007. The setting is so charming with the courtyard. I dream about the Arrayan margaritas. Every dish is excellent. This is an outstanding, world-class restaurant offering mouth-watering Mexican cuisine. The owner was classicaly trained in Switzerland. Her passion and thorough understanding of what makes mexican fare one of the best in the world are easy to see and taste at El Arrayán. The cocktails are simply jaw-dropping. You’ll never drink an ordinary, sugared-up Margarita after you’ve had a proper... More

Very good food (had cricket tacos, duck carnitas, and pork loin) and exceptional service in a lovely romantic restaurant filled with local art.

My fiancé and I had dinner again at el Arrayan and had another amazing experience. So amazing that Carmen and her staff will be catering our wedding. The lightly pickled duck tostada is absolutely fantastic and the moles are out of this world. Truly amazing Mexican cuisine at a fantastic price.

The service was great... the food was tasty... but my wife got severely sick, and has been sick since April after eating here. It is now mid-July. She picked up Cryptosporidium Parvum from this restaurant and for people that don't know what that is ... it's an untreatable parasite that takes residence in your intestines. Thanks for the life changing... More

This place is convenient and comfortable, the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the food is so beautiful. I did not return to PV for over 4 years but this place stayed in my memory and when we did finally return I was not disappointed. If you are going to PV El Arraign is an absolute must!

This was our second stop on our gourmet food tour by "Vallarta Eats" and stands out for many reason. Though a little off the beaten path and required an uphill stroll to arrive, it was well worth the walk! The restaurant was emblazoned with traditional tapestry and artwork that was vibrant and psychedelic. Our guide informed us that the artwork... More

I greatly appreciate a simple, classic environment when in Latin American countries, and this restaurant was the best of all the details I appreciate: quaint and beautiful seating around a courtyard; delicious and traditional dishes (with other more extravagant options); light music; clean; and excellent service staff. The drinks were nice as well - special in-house margaritas (we tried hibiscus-and-cranberry... More

We stopped here as part of the Vallarta Eats tour and ended up signing up for cooking class. We cooked and then got to eat our work ;) Carmen teaches the class and she is delightful.
