Great Veggie friendly restaurant

We visited Mexico on a fairly short notice holiday in search of winter sunshine, so therefore opted for a unimaginative all inclusive resort in Nuevo Vallarta. After not very long we were sick of the sights and food of the hotel, and so visited Puerto Vallarta. As I am a vegetarian, I was worried... read more

Off the beaten path but always one of the best meals in PV. A local favorite. Don't miss the good food and excellent service!

We've eaten here many times and it never disappoints. From the warm welcome upon entering, the fantastic margaritas, the charming offbeat decor, to the food, to the service, the Red Cabbage is tops! My favorite is always the Chilies en Nogada. Heavenly!

I had heard it was very good. Even one of the guests at our hotel recommended it, but it was actually the worse meal I had the entire week I was in PV. It may have just been the dish I ordered, but it was one the owner recommended. The carrots and juice poured over the stuffed pepper made it... More

This charming restaurant was a short walk by the river from our hotel. We arrived to find a colorful room filled with art and happy diners munching away. Our waiter was very attentive and pointed out the chef quietly dining in her restaurant at the end of the day. The food, was innovative and delicious. We loved it!

I was recommended this sweet artsy spot by my host at a close by B & B and I'm so grateful that he shared this local secret with me! Tucked back in Zona Romantica is this colorful local treat. I had the peanut soup, the pork loin with orange sauce and the flan for dinner. All were tasty but the... More

We came out of season and it wasn't busy which made us nervous. But the service and food were terrific. I had the Carmen's Mexican Plate which included steak, chile rellano, a rolled taco, quesadilla, rice, beans and guacamole. Super yummy! Just a little bit of everything. Another had the chile de nogales which is a stuffed chile topped with... More

We love Red Cabbage and make sure that we go every time we're in Puerto Vallarta. We don't go for the location we go for the food and the best Margaritas ever! The restaurant also gas a wonderful collection of artwork that adorns the walls. Very charming. We have never had a bad meal here, everything we try is delicious... More

We started coming to Puerto Vallarta about 35 years ago, so I feel qualified to write about my favorite restaurant there. I could say I love the ambience (which is intimate and artsy), I could say how much I love the service (especially from Cuco, my favorite waiter), I could say that their margaritas are just the way I like...
