Wonderful, find it and enjoy it!

I was recommended this sweet artsy spot by my host at a close by B & B and I'm so grateful that he shared this local secret with me! Tucked back in Zona Romantica is this colorful local treat. I had the peanut soup, the pork loin with orange sauce and the flan for dinner. All were tasty but the... read more

A little off the beaten path, but well worth it. One of the best restaurants in PV with amazing food and service.

We came out of season and it wasn't busy which made us nervous. But the service and food were terrific. I had the Carmen's Mexican Plate which included steak, chile rellano, a rolled taco, quesadilla, rice, beans and guacamole. Super yummy! Just a little bit of everything. Another had the chile de nogales which is a stuffed chile topped with... More

We love Red Cabbage and make sure that we go every time we're in Puerto Vallarta. We don't go for the location we go for the food and the best Margaritas ever! The restaurant also gas a wonderful collection of artwork that adorns the walls. Very charming. We have never had a bad meal here, everything we try is delicious... More

We started coming to Puerto Vallarta about 35 years ago, so I feel qualified to write about my favorite restaurant there. I could say I love the ambience (which is intimate and artsy), I could say how much I love the service (especially from Cuco, my favorite waiter), I could say that their margaritas are just the way I like... Visited twice during our stay. Cool vibe. Great art work. Restaurant and art highlight Diego and Frieda. Authentic Mexican cuisine. Ambiance and food lovingly created by Lola, a very talented lady!! Gracious staff, wonderful service. Take a cab there, watch the kids playing in the river, enjoy a leisurely walk back down the newly upgraded river path. Broaden your horizons... More

This is a wonderful gem off the normal beaten tourist path of PV. It is traditionally Mexican and the food is wonderful. The peanut soup is unique and very tasty. Each one of us had something different and all of the meals were fabulous. I had the Mexican plate and it has a small tasting of numerous different items. My... More

This was such a fun experience. They specialize in regional Mexican dishes- with the twist that many dishes were served by Diego and Frieda at their wedding. So fun! We arrived early for our reservation, so they took us to the back bar for sangrias. The service stayed impeccable throughout the course of the evening. The decor is quirky, interesting,... More

We've eaten at Red Cabbage three times, and the food has always been good. It's traditional Mexican, served by a professional staff. The restaurant is located off the normal tourist area, and though it certainly caters to tourists it feels more unique. We especially enjoy the artsy vibe, focusing on Frida Kahlo.
