You have to go here. And get some shrimp. We went here twice, and both times, the place was bumping. The neighborhood is a short walk out of the main tourist area, and it's peaceful and fun. The guacamole is fresh and delicious, the tortilla chips warm and crunchy. Their margaritas are some of the more potent ones we sampled... More

When we are in the mood for arracherra (marinated skirt steak) and margaritas and beer in PV, El Brujo never disappoints - though seafood is on the menu, it seems that meat is the ticket here - very reasonably priced. always busy and a place that takes its food seriously but doesn't take itself too seriously. A great margarita and... More

A favorite of my friends who know PV intimately. Easy enough to find, staff speaks English well. Fish strips come highly recommended. Marisma's stand is nearby for the world's best fish tacos. Our cooking school instructors recommended the beef taco stand diagonal to El brujo which I believe is called Blondie's. This place has some sit down seating as well.... More

Trust me, you want to take a cab to get here. But is completely worth it. The place is cozy, the staff speaks English and the food is really nice. The dishes are original and the flavour is amazing. Try the "Dragon Shrimp" is spicy, but awesome! If you don't like spicy food you can ask for half the chilli... More

Small shrimp for 160 is a good value and great taste. Comes with chips/Mexican Salsa and garlic bread. Love this place. You won't stumble across it and may be too far to walk for some but worth finding it. Service is average and the musicians can be too loud but the food is great and it is a true value.... More

Last night we re-visited this place and once again came away very, very satisfied. The little pico they serve with chips, is fresh and tasty although the chips tend to be a bit on the greasy side. We split a cheese and beef chicharon and then had the "BIG SHRIMP' dish cooked two ways (diabla and coconut). The little salad... More

Visited this restaurant the day before I left PV. Opens at 1pm, I got there at 5 past one & they said the kitchen would not be ready for 10 minutes & do I mind waiting. Ordered a beer & waited 20 mins for them to take my order. I got the tortilla soup which was very good & the... More

I have dined at El Brujo several times over the years. The food here is consistently very good to great. Located in a neighborhood at the east end of the Romantic Zone, it is surrounded by Mexican residences, small restaurants and food carts, small neighborhood grocery stores as well as cobblers, dressmakers and other typical home based businesses. El Brujo... More

...and considering a third time. Great drinks, service and you will not regret it if you order the 'molcajete'- either for one or a big sharing plate!

We go at least once every trip for the great food and lively mariachis. The restaurant is always a good mix of tourists and locals.
