As others have said, this restaurant isn't cheap by anyone's standards. That being said, I can confidently say it was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. We savored every bite and every sip of wine, and the staff was wonderful. Our waiters, Manuel and Gil, were very sweet and paid us a lot of attention... More

My wife and I have over the years spend a number of times in Cafe des Artistes, we visited the restaurant for the first time back in mid 2003. This year over eastern we had the chance to come back and try it out again. The food is still as excellent as it always was, however we feel it lost... More

Although this restaurant isn't the cheapest, by either Mexican or American standards, it was definitely THE best meal we had in Puerto Vallarta. We had awesome wait staff: Giovanni and Gilberto treated us like royalty, and were super friendly and great to talk to! I can't recommend this place highly enough! One thing to add: Dress nicely. It is NOT... More

The musicians and the music sets the tone for a great evening! Geovani, my server was attentive and sincere, he paid attention to my every need refilling my glass at the exact right time. The violonist being by myself made me feel special by still coming to the table and asking me what dong i wanted him to play and... More

We went to celebrate a special occasion, and it was pricey but worth it! The food was delicious, and the presentation was artistic and sometimes surprising - such as a "chocolate mousse flowerpot" dessert in which chocolate mousse and cookie crumbs take the place of dirt in a real flower pot (with a glass bowl inside) with real cut flowers... This was the best restaurant we went to in PV, and we went to quite a few! Beautiful interior, attentive staff. The mescal martini with smoked salt was outstanding. The food was creative, gorgeous, and tasty with good-sized servings. Notable bread basket with breadsticks and about 4 different kinds of bread. The birthday dessert presentation was OVER the top –... More

I'm perplexed by the 5-star reviews on here. Perhaps since I live and eat in Las Vegas and travel worldwide I have a different point of view compared to a normal beach tourist or Mexican. Arrived on a Monday in low season so no reservation was required. Staff was friendly and I was promptly seated. The restaurant utilizes two waiters... More

My wife and decided on Cafe des Artistes on our first night of our second trip to Puerto Vallarta, and it was a great decision. We showed up without reservations and we were greeted politely and showed promptly to a table. We decided to go with the tasting menu and wine pairings -- what they call the "temptation" menu. We... Once again Cafe des Artistes was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is top quality. The service was impeccable. Our servers Israel and Efrain were attentive. This time we had the wine pairing menu. Each course was a meal by itself. The food was wonderful. Any special occasion this is our place to go. This is definitely on of the best... More

We enjoyed a 5 course wine pairing dinner with friends in celebration of a birthday. The service IMPECABLE, the food AMAZING, and our waiters Efrain & Israel were charming and attentive to our requests. Definitely a 5-star experience, you will not be disappointed. Will definitely return for another wonderful evening. The photos below are of the dessert tray for the... More
