Amazing views with a fantastic staff.

Visiting an Irish bar in Mexico seems like an odd thing but it's not like it's a Bubba Gump or something (that's down the street. Stay away from those bars). Murphy's is owned & operated by a Irish guy from WI. I went with a local beer. A great porter from Colima, it was amazing. Definitely stop in for a... More

My wife and I spent a week at a boutique Hotel in downtown Puerto Vallarta, the Hotel Catedral Vallarta. Located two blocks south of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, two blocks east of the Ocean and El Malecon (Sea Wall and Walkway) and one block north of Isla Cuale and Zona Romantica, this ideal central location allowed us to walk... We were strolling along the Malecon, and around a bend, what do we find? Murphy's Irish Pub. What a treat. We visited the second story pub on a Saturday afternoon. 2 for 1 drinks was the way to start. I then ordered the Beef Irish Stew and mi esposo ordered the Shrimp and Chips. The shrimp were humungous. Definitely considered... More

We discovered a great Newfie duo playing Celtic music. Matt and Dave are skilled musicians and worth a listen to. They play from 8-10 we'd. Through Saturday and are seasonal so phone to check if they are still in town. Another band comes on about 11. The staff are very friendly. The groups we were with had mixed reviews on... More

If you are looking for good food, a great atmosphere, combined with a perfect view of the ocean and the main boardwalk, I highly recommend Murphy's Irish Pub in Puerto Vallarta. Tucked away on the Malecon, up a narrow flight of stairs, it's easy to miss if you blink. But if you are lucky enough to find it, you won't... More

We've been to Murphy's before and really enjoyed the food. That being said on St. Patrick's Day we went and although the music was great and the atmosphere fun evidently they don't know how to make Irish coffee(cold with a shot of something nasty) and the food at the buffet was dried out and pretty disgusting. We might go again... More
