First place we always head on our first day in PV. It is steps away from our apartment and allows us to sink into chairs right in the sand. Nice margaritas, buckets of beers and good guacamole and pico de gallo. Burro's is a nice daytime retreat from the heat, happy hour or late night drink. Enjoy a beach bar... More

Burros bar and restaurant is near the end of the Malecon (past the Cuale river bridge) and sits right on the Muertos beach. Shade is provided by tatted umbrellas and the tables / chairs are patio style on the sandy beach. Therefore, expect a good breeze, (sometimes strong). Hours: 9am to 1opm Food: beach/bar style, seafood, Mexican Service: was quick... More

This is a beach front bar and restaurant where you sit on the sand under umbrellas and palapas. Buckets of beer are priced about like everywhere in old PV town but the service is just so-so. Haven't eaten the food here as we guys usually just kick back, drink beer and play cribbage while the wives/girlfriends check out the local... More

This used to be the first place we hit when we got to Old Town PV. Tropical look among the cool shady palm trees. A cold bucket of 3 beers for 50 pesos. Now, even if the look has not changed much over the many years. The attitude and service has to a major down side. Once the hawker talks... More

For years, this place has been our favorite for drinks, with feet in the sand and exchanging with the beach vendors. We usually go several times but on our first visit, my wife's Rhum punch obviously lacked any rhum at all. Our friends went some days later and were sick. The service was very slow and the general area was... More

The Burro is always our first night's Cerveza Stop. We find ourselves sitting in this beach bar almost daily watch the waves roll in, bartering with beach vendors and speaking Spanglish with the friendly staff. The bano is across the sidewalk behind the bar. The more you drink, the more challenging those stairs become. (Just Sayin')

We went to Burro's Bar twice during our last trip. The 1st time, we had a couple margaritas and enjoyed them with our feet in the sand so we went back for "linner". The food was ok. My Mexican Plate was pretty good. By far the ambiance was the best part, how can you go wrong with a cold drink... More

We went to the Burro's Bar twice during this last trip. Had a couple margaritas one day and sat with our feet in the sand and came back with the family to eat another day (linner). I had the Mexican plate which was very good. Again, margaritas for my friend and I enjoyed a bucket of beet (all to myself,... More

Location good, on beach. Tables in sand. Good meat lovers nachos and coronas. Very casual. Nice employees. Don't come here if you dislike many, many vendors. But some people like souvenirs at reasonable prices. Just say no thanks, and they leave. Nice for afternoon snack and beer.
