Please go here while you are in PV. 2 for one margaritas, free guacamole and of course the best molcajete that I have ever had. The views are fantastic! You will not be disappointed!

Walking the Malecon Saturday evening, we were convinced by Roberto to give it a try. It was shot as hell. This restaurant is 3 flights up and open air. Air conditioning would be great but at minimum they need some fans!!! Food was the authentic Mexican we had hoped for. We ordered the special of the evening - Molcajete. This... More

First of all ...we tried other restaurants in the area, they were alright but not that satisfying. Then one day while walking at the malecón we were approached by Roberto. He invited us to try Viejo Vallarta, and the guacamole was the best we've tried...The queso fundido and everything we tried was delicious. ..we promise to come back...my daughter and... More

This quaint Mexican restaurant three floors above the famous Malecon boardwalk has the most outstanding views of the Banderas Bay. The service was exceptional, the food very good and the location perfect. The restaurant is completely open to the bay and you can always count on a breeze. However, as a result it is not air conditioned and can be... More

This restaurant is on the third floor of a building that overlooks the ocean, mid way down the boardwalk. The food is as amazing and authentic as the view is. Relatively cheap price and good service. Best guacamole I have ever had!

We were walking down the boardwalk trying to avoid the constant request for us to attend a time share when Roberto stopped us on the street to see if we were interested in dining. He took us upstairs and gave us a table by overlooking the water and street below. Very fresh seafood prepared excellently. We had Cerviche- which was... More

Viejo Vallarta is along the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, on the third floor, and open to the elements. Which makes it a more authentic dining experience in Mexico, in my opinion. Roberto hailed my friend and me as we walked along the Malecon looking for a restaurant for an early dinner. He showed us VV's menu and told us he'd... More

My wife and I loved the food, service, and location of Viejo Vallarta. The town is a great place to visit, shop, and eat. We highly recommend this restaurant if you want a great meal with a great view of the street and ocean.

Delicious food. Excellent service. Dined there twice during our vacation in PV. The dishes we ordered were Red Snapper al mojo de ajo, caesar salad with shrimp and Rib Eye (see pics). My husband wanted a beer that was not on their menu and they got it for him, then the second time we came in they remembered and served... More
