The food and service are very very good. My favorite for dinner chiles en nogada. Dessert chocolate cake delicious and the mango margarita is like a mango smoothie totally recommended.

The service was excellent and the food was VERY tasty. Check it out if you are in town. I had the chicken stuffed with sausage and it was very tasty.

Our first night in Puerto Vallarta we walked along the Andador and the music and loud speakers were blaring noise. We were looking for a quiet place to eat. We found Mamá Rosa. But my husband's fish had an awful strong odor and he couldn't eat it. the chef offered to replace the food with something else, but we refused.... More

Wow. You know how each vacation has that new place you are so glad you tried? This was it on this trip. Actually I had eaten at the Leona Vicario location that is up a few streets from the Malecon with great views. Food was good then. But their location in the romantic zone on Basilio Badillo is a great... More

We came upon this restaurant while strolling through old town. The inviting white draped tables, the open view of the chefs creating visual masterpieces, the soft lighting and music, and the incredible menu displayed beside a welcoming host could not go unheeded. We were not disappointed with the wine offerings and were given a reasonable corkage fee for future consideration.... More

We walked by Mama Rosa's twice before we decided to go in for no other reason than it was not on our "must try" list. It will be on our next list. The restaurant is very attractive, set in a lovely garden. The menu features two price points for a three course meal, each very reasonable. I had the Chile... More

I've been traveling to Mexico since 1985. I've had plenty of exposure to local fare, I try to stay away from "all-inclusive" places so I get to enjoy local color. Mama Rosa's was a delicious experience from start to finish. The service was excellent and the food was terrific. Definitely worth a visit.

Mama Rosa: You would think it would be Italian. Well it is not. It is a fine authentic Mexican restaurant with a great menu, wonderful staff, delicious food and beautiful presentation. On busy Basillo Badillo in the romantic zone. Nice surroundings too. Go visit you will not be disappointed
