Impressive Food, Great Service!

Exceptional service and one of the better places I have been to in the past 3 years visiting Puerto Vallarta. It's a short, steep set of steps to climb but it was worth the exercise. Very good food in this two story restaurant. Regular restaurant up a long flight of stairs and a bar/restaurant up some more stairs. Definitely worth the climb but I mention this because some may not do well with stairs. The pork dishes are my favorites. The restaurant it located on Olas Altas and next to the funicular that goes to... More

The food was ok. The owner was a very nice guy. Close to the beach. Needs to be a bigger place. A little cramped.

We go to the Swedes a few times on each visit and it never disappoints. The food is amazing, and the service always friendly. The owner Morgan is special guy who loves his place and the people who go there. make sue you check out the pink night at the lounge above the main restaurant. They make the best cosmos... More

My husband and I stopped in here for drinks and ended up staying for dinner. The burgers were great and the staff was awesome too.

This is a GREAT restaurant with amazing food. There is limited air conditioning so make sure you go there late for dinner....no earlier than 9:00 p.m.

Wandering around the "Old Town of Puerto Vallarta on our first Sunday in Mexico, we were curious and willing to try anything once! We past "The Swedes" on our stroll and made a note of it to come back later when it might be open. Around seven p.m. we were at the door to be greeted by two very friendly... More

OK - gourmet european fare at modest prices...yo me gusta mucho! The owner oversees his Swedish chef (no, I'm not kidding) and together they created and execute a very nice menu of choices that you won't find elsewhere in town. Lobster Bisque, Swedish Meatballs, and daily specials that really tempt you. Add to that a setting that puts you high... More

We were told about this place from an high school friend. Well I haven't seen him in over 20 years so worth the trip. Sits on top a hill with great view to Romantic Zone area, we went during Resturant Week and had one of the nightly specials. Yummy. The cream of cauliflower soup with bacon was great. Grilled pork... Really enjoyed dinner at the Swedes. It's an attractive place, well decorated, and felt open, as it should since the windows had no glass. The food was really good and nicely priced. Our server was handsome, articulate, and professional. We will certainly go back again.
