La Cigale is a great French Bistro just a couple of blocks from the Guadalupe Church, central PV. Tables are limited so it is better to make a reservation. Our food was very good with French sized portions. Highly recommend the house white wine - it is outstanding! We all had the tuna which was very good but small portion... More

This place couldn´t be better - the food and ambience feel just like you're in Montreal - escargots, onion soup, pommes frites served in a tin bucket - fabulous steak tartare (if you´re into that sort of thing), fabulous perfectly-rare tuna steak, gorgeous house wines with a very generous pour, and desserts in line with the French motif. I adore... More

We loved everything about this restaurant from the friendly service to the escargot and the muscles in a cream sauce. We ate here twice and will return on our next visit to PV. Ask for the table for two by the window and enjoy the lively street scene. More

This is the place to dine! The charming little restaurant feels and seems like a place on the streets of Paris. The menu is excellent, the presentation inviting, and entries delicious topped off with a marvelous wait staff. You won't be disappointed! Be sure to order the French onion soup for your appetizer! This small French restaurant is a real gem. Located by the Guadalope Church in el Centro. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is excellent. The French onion soup is fantastic. You very much know you are in a French restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant. More

Based on the other reviews, we were looking forward to a romantic evening at this small restaurant. Our server was excellent; however, the meal was disappointing. We traded two apps - a portobello mushroom stuffed with mushroom, vegetables and a warm goat cheese salad. Mushroom was good but the salad was so-so. We selected a bottle of Macon to go... More

Until this year, we had never tried La Cigale (we had another favorite French restaurant that closed at the end of last season). Tonight was our first experience and it will definitely not be our last. The atmosphere of La Cigale is warm and inviting with just the right level of lighting and French accordion music in the background. While... More

My fiance and I were in PV last winter and we just returned to PV again this year for three month holiday. We are so excited to go back to La Cigale for the best French dinner in PV. This little cute place has lots of good things to offer. The young couple who own the bistro are so nice... More

Sometimes when I go there, it is like being in Paris or NYC in a great neighborhood eatery...other times, the food is cold and disapointing. But I keep going back because the owners are charmng. The egg casserole is divine. Hope they dont keep increasing their prices More
