Description: A mexican restaurant with autentic mexican food, the special is the mole sauce witch is made like in the past, an artesian mole that takes over a week to prepare, unique texture and a chocolate taste at the end. A very house warming atmosphere, and always a good service taken by the owners themself.

I've never been a real mole fan and I think up t this point I've probably never really had a great mole dish. This all changed when we visited El Mole de Jovita! The food was great! They had three different mole preparations and I honestly couldn't decide between them. Our server said he would serve them "rainbow" with all... More

They have three moles here but the one to try first is their eponymous mole de Jovita, a black mole very much along the lines of those of Oaxaca and Puebla. It is complex, flavorful, with just the right heat - easily as good as the best we have had in trips to Oaxaca focused on tasting as many moles... More

Just walking by the server asked if I would like to try their mole. Tried in the past and wasn't impressed but I didn't want to be rude. OMGoodness it was excellent! But she didn't stop with one taste they had the traditional, a verde and pipian tasting. WOW Then she explained the menu and what sauces work with each... More

Went for lunch at Jovitas. It's run by its owner Sergio. He is very friendly and would explain you moles secrets. Theirs is great, but what really surprised me were their tortillas. Hand made with "maiz tierno" tender corn , . They were pink. We were told they make that color with.beetroot. The combination of a great mole with those... More

This place is family run. A wonderfully friendly young man and his partner operate this authentic mole place which uses his mum's recipes. We never met his mum, but I am sure she is a gem. There are 3 typical kinds of moles. Get the darkest, but, ask for tasters of all three. Prices are cheap - think 8 to... More

Hola amigo It is always a pleasure to have new costumers coming to our place and having a taste of the best mole in town. Many people that come for visit in puerto vallarta and stop by the old town farmers market where we also sell the mole don't have time to cook a real Mexican mole. That's why we... More

Easily the best Moly I've ever had. Such amazing food with a great family back story. Make sure you ask for a taste of their house tequila! ;)

This is the best mole I've tasted, and they have three varieties. My favorite is the dark Jovita mole, their own chocolatey, savory style. They also have a green mole and another sort of meaty tasting mole. You will have a hard time finding better food or lower priced in Old Vallarta/Romantic Zone. If you are lucky, the owner's son... This is the place for best Mole. The mole sauce is a family recipe and made from scratch. Never a bad meal. The owner Sergio and his partner are great hosts. Always a great visit whenever I am in PV
