Description: A mexican restaurant with autentic mexican food, the special is the mole sauce witch is made like in the past, an artesian mole that takes over a week to prepare, unique texture and a chocolate taste at the end. A very house warming atmosphere, and always a good service taken by the owners themself.

My wife and I had dinner one night on our vacation. I had the chicken breast and my wife had the chicken leg and thigh with the homemade Jovita mole. They get the base from Mexico City. A very delicious meal. On another night we had the Mexican platter, equally delicious. Please come and enjoy. Jeff S.

While browsing the neighborhood for a restaurant, this one looked interesting, and we opted for a table on the sidewalk, outside the restaurant. Patrons inside encouraged us, saying the "mole" options were exceptional! We chose the Mexican platter for the main course. The food was good, but there are better places.

Very underwhelming . Looks good from the outside and staff say all the right things . Chicken tamales were awful

This is by far the most authentic place for a homestyle Mexican meal. It´s like eating at your grandmothers house. I´m mexican and have lived in Puerto Vallarta for the last couple of years and when I eat there childhood memories come to me:-). The Mole is the best and with hand made tortillas mmmm superb! (my mouth is watering... More

After many trips to PV, we just stumbled upon a very hospitable restaurant in the Romantic Zone. Here a hostess entices you with 3 samples of original recipes developed by the owner's own Mother, just at the entrance. An original mole, one made of peanuts and, the 3rd a vegetarian (green) mole. We stayed for dinner choosing a sidewalk patio... More

We had a recommendation from Vallarta Eats to try this place for mole. They said "this is the place" and they were right in more ways that one! The classic mole was excellent. Two of the four people in our group ordered mole items and raved about them. I am not a mole fan but did try my husband's ribs... More

This was by far the best tasting mole I have had plus they had 2 others besides moms original. You can taste all the different spices in it.

I've read all of the reviews and I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't been said. It's just a little family owned and run store front restaurant on Basillo Badillo (great location) - a few tables out front on the sidewalk and someone standing on the front stoop stirring a big vat of simmering mole. If that doesn't... More

Sergio serves three different versions of his Mother's mole and they are all delicious. This is some of the best mole that I have ever had. Had the traditional mole over chicken and it was delicious. Great outdoor dining on the tables on the sidewalk. Very friendly waitstaff. Highly recommend.
