Very unassuming, mom and pop spot. We did pass by but later came back. best chilequiles in town. I like them verde con pollo. But the mole sauce is amazing! Service may be a little slow or disorganized (Hey, you're in Mexico. Relax!) but chill and enjoy the great food.

We were persuaded to come in off the sidewalk. The idea of the mole' was interesting and we were given samples to choose from for our main. The service was pleasant and prompt. The wine was mediocre. When we got our mains I thought if was most unappealing. A plate of stuff floating in mole sauce. I did not eat... More

What I like about this place besides the food: it's clearly a family operation. Entertainment is provided by a young singer/guitar player whose portrait hangs in the restaurant. There are more family photos inside. The staff are all polite and engaged. Unlike many establishments nearby, they're happy you're there and haven't been lulled into the idea that success is their... While we were wandering by El Mole they offered a free taste of their three mole options. That was enough to draw us in. All three of the mole options were very good -- the chocolate was my favourite. All of the food was very good and plentiful, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the prices we good... We have been at Jovitas many times but this time didn't think there food or service was up to standard. Service seemed more in tune to not listening but relaxing. Tamale was more masa than chicken inside served on husk not wrapped which indicted it was not really fresh. Very little mole and poblano sauce on either one. Both soups... More

The owners were so happy and welcoming. They said "nothing elegant but the food is amazing". I'm not one for elegant and I actually found the decor and vibe really made for a delightful evening meal. We sat outside in the garden and had phenomenal chili rellenos... I mean OUTSTANDING!! It felt like a celebration going on with us and... More

At the Saturday market in the square next to the school, one of the vendors commented that the moles for this restaurant are the creations of a woman in Guadalajara, and they are transported to PV. Intrigued, we gave it a try. One is brought a square dish with three different moles--the traditional red (sweet) and yellow, (piquant) and a... More

Another good find by fellow TripAdvisors. As others have mentioned, the specialty is the mole sauce. It's a very casual place. We were a party of 6 including 2 young children. The prices were great, the service fast and friendly, and the food hit the spot. Two of us had the fish (red snapper), one had the enchiladas and the... More

We loved this restaurant for many reasons and ate here more than once. The food was delicious! We had chicken leg & thigh with green mole, chicken enchiladas, fish enchiladas, tamales, tortilla soup, great margaritas & cold cervezas. Our fav was the green mole! This spot was recommended to us from someone that has been eating here for many years.... More
