Across the street for Pharmacia Guadalajara and upstairs, this restaurant is easy to miss but don't ! The shrimp soup is heavenly and the pescado a la plancha ( grilled fish) is delicious and essential. Everything is fresh and very reasonably priced. Danielle is a great waiter. We love watching the buses from the balcony. A true Vallarta scene.

This was my 9th trip to Puerto Vallarta and first time discovering San Lucas. It is the perfect alternative to busy places in Old Town that always have a line during the peak weeks like Christmas and Easter. I ended up going twice. Once, just my husband and I, and then again with a group of six. We didn't have... More

My sister and I always stop for lunch once or twice a visit to PV. Very good homemade hamburgers ( with fried onions) and fish tacos. Prices are good. Great place to watch the world go by on Calle Insurgentas.

Great time to spend an evening. We hided from the huge rain in here and ask for a mescal to get warm. It was the best choice because the mescal was home made, delicious and cheap.

It is a lovely place and outside but covered. Some of the best sea food I have had in Vallarta. Yes it is over a busy street with buses but isn't that part of being in Mexico in the first place. Great service and wonderful food. Recommended to all friends who visit.

I can't say how many years I have walked right past this restaurant. It is on Insurgentes across the sidestreet from Guadalajara pharmacy. The main part of the restaurant is a lovely upstairs outside patio area, but I never knew there was more to the restaurant from what you see walking along. I had great shrimp fajitas. I think I... We tried San Lucas blindly and were SO thrilled with the results. On this visit to Vallarta, I ordered guacamole from most of the places we went to and WOW! This guacamole is FANTASTIC. The owner/chef makes it fresh when you order, I think. It was so good, we ordered it twice (on 2 separate occasions). It has just the... More

I can only repeat my review of last year. This restaurant is outstanding and specializes in seafood dishes. The owner is extremely pleasant, the food is plentiful and excellent. The only downside is the location adjacent to the Guadalajara drug store, which is on a noisy street with buses roaring past. However, we will continue to go each year due... More

We met friends at this restaurant. We were a half hour early, needed to use the facilities and were allowed very pleasantly. We said we would be back in half an hour. The waiter offered to save us the corner table. Our friends were late but our table was saved. The menu is easy to understand, with fish, meat and... More

A few blocks off the beaten path and upstairs; you get to view a busy street and lots of buses going by. However, the food is fantastic authentic Mexican. Great service with style.
