A small restaurant around the corner and a block up from the condo. We found this place last year and went 3 times this year. The machaca breakfast was perfect, the pancakes, the huevos rancheros and the huevos dianita were all great. I don't know why we never made it there for lunch...maybe next year. And the price for all... More

Dianita's is a small, local, diner style restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to those who are on a budget and to those who are not on a budget. The menu is extensive and changes everyday. Your meal comes with a small soup, rice, beans and a pitcher of fresh fruit juice. Besides being DELICIOUS you can't beat the price!!... More

Mostly nationals, which means the food and price can not be beat.... we had breakfast, scrambled eggs with bacon, the eggs were light and creamy, the refried beans were out of this world. Oj hand squeezed and needless to say warm tortillas. What more could one ask for. -') Two breakfasts for 120.00peses the waiter funny, spoke english, we gave... More

When you're new to Puerto Vallarta you probably wonder about the restaurants that advertise "comida corrida" for very little money. Are they safe? Can the food be actually good at that price? Yes to both, and the one that is always getting recommended is Dianita on Madero Street, just a few blocks from the beach. Excellent soup, your choice among... More

Stumbled upon this place and now I know what all the hype is about. Opens at 11am and the phone is constantly ringing with locals calling to see what the specials of the day are. The term "Comida Corrida" is a Mexican meal that is usually cheap and includes a soup or pasta and a main dish. It is about... More

I've been meaning to try this little breakfast/lunch spot the past few trips to PV but just never seemed to make it there until last week. WOW, I have been kicking myself ever since for missing out so many times. A true "local" flavor restaurant with only 6-8 tables. We enjoyed both a breakfast and a lunch. Both were excellent,... More

We ducked into this little local place to have an ice cold beverage and to try some authentic Mexican food... We were not disappointed in any way .... My date had the dianita special .... So flavorful .... An abundance of fresh herbs and perfectly prepared eggs...And I had the machacca torta .... Absolutely amazing.... Highly recommend this if your... More

We've been eating at Dianita's for years, and managed to fit in three comidas during our six day visit this time. I recommend not showing up until 1 at the earliest (though if you wait until 2 or later - traditional Mexican comida time, you may have to wait for a table). There are 9-12 different main dishes each day,... More

You can order from a menu but the specialty of this restaurant is for the chef to make you something very unique to your own desire. You inform the waiter as to what you & your party like, and they take it from there and make you a "family style" meal with all your favorites included so each person can... More
