Memorable!

This is a popular restaurant and I am not surprised. It has a wonderfully fun authentic Mexican ambience. They offered certain specials for two of which we chose the seafood platter: lobster, shrimp and fish (we chose sea bass). We went last night to one of our normal favourites on our yearly vacation to PV, disappointed last year however not this year. Entire family had great experience and food. We had good service and recommend making a reservation.

My first full day in Puerto Vallarta was this nice restaurant. I had a hankering for beef and friends led me here. It is a nice storefront building in Zona Romantica, with very nice atmosphere, including a strolling band of brothers (also selling their CD) I got a steak, and although it took a while, I got the steak as... My husband and I visit Puerto Vallarta about once a year and always plan a trip to Cafe De Olla. As usual the Margaritas were good, the cheese and sausage appetizer was filling and very tasty, and the seafood was excellent. We have never been disappointed in our dinners and we love the atmosphere. A wander around Old Town either... More

Busy, busy spot...I thought Bachas by the Marina had better food. Fun atmoshphere and great food. Old town is great, you feel safe ..wish we spent more time here.

We ususally visit this restaurant every year. This year we felt that they just wanted to get us in and out as fast as they could. Most restaurants people complain that the service is too slow - this one was too fast! We are on vacation and want to enjoy our meal and not feel rushed. The food was also... More

Incredible smells fill the street and lead you to Cafe de Olla. Grill on sidewalk you cannot miss it. Usually a long line-up, and drinks are served while you wait. Service quick and about the only restaurant you don't have to query for la cuenta. Pazole was not so great, broth bland - think watered down Campbell's soup, coconut shrimp,... More

2nd time in Puerto Vallarta first time to visity Cafe de Olla because our friends who had been in the area for couple of months had heard it was pretty good. Its in old town which in itself is worth the trip. Located a couple blocks off the beach it was very busy for late lunch. Crowded as in tables... More

Had been to this restaurant many times over the years - used to love it. Now it appears they're resting on their laurels. Food is bland and average at best, service is rushed but friendly, unless you have a question or complaint: then poorly handled, with a lot of attitude. Margs are harshly strong. Sadly, it's off our list of... More

This used to be a favorite place, but the food has really gone down hill since our last visit some years ago. Still love the huge and strong Margaritas, but I doubt we will be back to eat.
