we were all disappointed in our meals. This was a first time experience here. Really nice inside, bustling, maybe that is where the problem was. I ordered ribs, and they were just warm to the touch, the sauce was added like an afterthought. The twice baked potato had no flavor, so I didn't bother... read more

Great service, and excellent food and their coffee is memorable. My favourite is breakfast-brunch as it is easier to get a table. The food is so good that for dinner you might have to wait a while for a table

Hadn't eaten here in 5 yrs. It's nice to see that it's still tasty and reliable. I had the carne asada. It was tasty and I liked the nopales (cactus ?) that it was served on. My friend had the Mexican Platter which she enjoyed also.

Its busy and there is always a lineup for dinner but it is worth the wait! We had the seafood platter for two and it was awesome.

We were recommended this place by a regular and oh my word it was worth the trip. We asked for the BBQ platter but swapped the steak for the ribs (couldn't resist the ribs!) it was massive DELICIOUS and full of home-comfort gorging.

This is our first time eating at Cafe de Olla and it was by chance we found it in the Zona Romantica on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was packed so we thought it can't be too bad so we waited only 5 minutes and were led to our table. The table outside ordered a plate of bbq ribs and... More

If you want a cheap lunch, this is the place for you. But the quality of what is served is very poor. Their version of "Tex-Mex" stinks. I can't comment on dinner, but there are long lines waiting to get in. That said, skip lunch.

We picked this restaurant due to the long line of people waiting outside (which was donevaway with fairly quickly).  We began with a good mango-flavoured margarita, followed by fajitas (beef, chicken and shrimps) and a green and brown sauces; and by fish fillet a la veracruzana (with tomato sauce). All was fairly good. Very big servings (we hardly managed to... More

Steamy coffee (and strong!) starts the day off right. As a visitor, I am always comforted when surrounded by 'people from the neighborhood.' We were surrounded by people at other tables 'speaking the language.' The refried beans were the best I've had in PV, and our breakfasts were tasty, filling and well worth the very reasonable price.

We went on 3/19/15 and ordered the following special for 2 (all grilled) for $60 USD (you can pay in pesos): 4 lobster tails Steak Filet big enough for 3 2 double baked potatoes 8 (double) shrimp, total 16 Rice Vegetables Garlic butter The food was cooked to perfection and quite delicious! They are cash only and generally have a... More
