One of the best meals I've had in a long time

This restaurant is really beautiful, you don't go there for the food mainly but for the setting and the mariachi music. Service is very nice except for the matron who is suppose to show you to the table, looks and smile more like a prison guard. Accompanied by some kind very precious reservation man who will present you with a... More

This was are first time her in a couple of years and the Atmosphere never ceases to amaze us with all of the beautiful open gardens within the home. Service was excellent and the food was good. This is one of the most expensive restaurants in PV. We started with a nice bottle of wine and salads and ordered the... More

Not on most average people’s radar yet, but well worth the trouble to make a reservation well ahead of your visit. As you enter the beautiful villa off a slightly grubby, narrow street, you are immediately overwhelmed by the expansive court yard and gardens before you. As with a lot of treats in Mexico, don’t judge it by the outside.... More

Simply the best brunch. Handmade omelettes, crêpes, prime rib which melts in your mouth and if you dare....a visit to the desert table. All of this in the ambience of the Hacienda. Fabulous views of PV from high up behind the church steeple and serenaded by a very talented violin player. A must visit at least once while here! YOU... More

Last night we enjoyed a lovely evening at Hacienda. We had an excellent waiter and we thoroughly love the Mariachis who sound like they are an orchestra. The food is OK but the most annoying part of the experience here is how they charge you. The menu shows pesos on one side and US dollars next to it. If you... More

Brunch. Reserve far in advance because it's hard to get into in the season. You dine in a glorious room, open one side to the most spectacular view of Vallarta, the church and the bay. But that isn't the story. The brunch is brilliant. I think it may be the best I have ever had. Dress nicely. It's a white... More

My wife and I heard about this restaurant from some friends, checked it out on TripAdvisor, and planned a special evening. We made reservations (required) for 6:00 PM and arrived by taxi from our hotel (Barcelo). Upon our arrival a gentleman rang a bell and we entered the most beautiful property imaginable. Fountains, and beautiful antiques, and religious artifacts everywhere.... More

The food is great, but is overshadowed by the excellent service, top-level entertainment and a stunning view of Puerto Vallarta. The Hacienda's rooftop dining is not cheap so save this spot for a special occasion. The mariachis' are one of the best in town. Make a reservation when you head to San Angel Hacienda and expect elegance. It is a... More

We had been at the restaurant several years ago and looking forward to returning. The setting is beautiful having been the hoe. Of Richard Burton while filming the Night of the Iguana. The service and food were good but nothing to rave about. There are so many good restaurants in PV so it will be a while before we return.
