We had been at the restaurant several years ago and looking forward to returning. The setting is beautiful having been the hoe. Of Richard Burton while filming the Night of the Iguana. The service and food were good but nothing to rave about. There are so many good restaurants in PV so it will be a while before we return.

Can you say crepes with fresh fruit, brandy, tequila, cointroy and whipped cream? sushi? prime rib? made-to-order omelets? Waffles? salad? Just a terrific brunch buffet, with champagne included. Then the dessert table. . . (be sure to save room!) The room itself is spectacular: wonderful view, baroque artwork, open air balcony, white table cloths. Do not miss this!

We went last week and loved the restaurant and the wonderful evening views. The food was excellent except for the red snapper which was just so so. Loved the beet salad . The mariachi band will give you a whole different feeling g about Mexican music. It was subtle and beautiful setting th stage for a very roe atic evening.... More

We have been coming here for years and they have yet to disappoint us. Upon entering the Hacienda San Angel, you are encased in what use to be a grand private home, and wow, it is still grand and chock full of beautiful antiques. The restaurant is located on the upper deck that houses one of the pools. From here... More

As stated by other diners, the view is breathtaking. Almost no bad tables. Very attentive service. Had the feeling, the wait staff was keeping an eye on our table to see that every need was met. This is a pricey restaurant for special occasions. The prices are listed in US dollars and, quite frankly, I only observed Anglos as patrons.... More

This is an elegant, formal rooftop restaurant, with nice views of the sunsets. The staff was very professional, and one couldn't ask for better service. We started with appetizers of pan seared scallops over an arugula salad and lightly-breaded calamari that was beautifully presented on sticks, accompanied by two sauces. We then progressed to main courses of spinach and goat... More

My husband and I spent our 31st wedding anniversary here. The view is amazing. Very romantic restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the salmon carparchio as an appetizer that was the BEST I have ever had. There is also a Mariachi band that is really good!.

Overhyped for sure. Yes, the location is *stunning*-- sweeping views of PV mountains, skyline, and ocean. The architecture is equally so such that you feel like Spanish royalty walking through the grounds. As we were seated, an traditional Mexican acapella group serenaded table to table. They were spectacular (days later at the resort at which we were staying, we overheard... More

Far and away the best mariachi entertainment we have experience for supper. 6 violins/violas, 4 guitars, 2 trumpets, and all can sing and harmonize marvelously. I bought a couple of their CD's just for the memories. Food is pricey. My only complaint, which seems gross, is they ought to have the window of the men's room closed or blocked enough... More
