Mariscos 8 Tostadas is only open until 6 pm, that is, for the big midday Mexican meal. So it's perfect if you're on vacation, get up late, have breakfast at 11, and are hungry again at 3 or 4. We went for lunch before our flight home. It's right around the corner from the Mayan Palace where we were staying.... More

My husband and I were so happy to find this locals favorite again. We had not been to Puerto Vallarta in over 16 years. It was just as good as we remembered it, great ceviche, awesome Marlin, and seafood mix tostadas. You go here for great food, not ambiance.

All in the menu is fresh (no warm dishes, except for tacos). And don't take credit cards. The service is fast and everything in the menu is really good. Ceviche is different as served in other parts of Mexico (this one goes on a soup bowl) but it tastes really good. I was initially recommended to Mariscos Coleguita (right around... More

( Marina) This a great local spot to get the best shrimp cocktails and fresh tostadas!! Service is fast! If you want a greater variety go to the original 8 Tostadas location further down in the hotel zone! Lots more dishes to choose from but both have great taste

Not far from the marina, we stopped here after one of our excursions to try the shrimp ceviche which was excellent! Served with crackers or chips, it was very flavorful.

Came here in the late afternoon for a late lunch, based on a cabdriver's recommendation. Lots of locals but I suspect it's a bit of a tourist trap. Fish tacos were outstanding. Quesadillas were just OK. Ordered a margarita, wasn't that great, stick with beer. When we got the bill, there was an extra margarita added on, which I had... More

I have been here multiple times over the past 7 years and both the food and service are great. Some of my favotires are the Tuna Carpaccio, the Seared Tuna and the Ceviche. This place is always crowded and it is mostly locals. The only downside is that there is only outdoor seating without air conditioning so it is not... More
