This place is similar in decor and offerings to a place in DC called Rosa Mexicano but the prices are consiferably lower at Mi Querencia. The main thing that caught my eye was the fresh guacamole prepared to order at your table. This was about 60 pesos or $5 US. Adan, the guacamole master was charming and all smiles as... more

Just got back from 6 days in PV and ate here twice. My kids loved it. The nachos are great. I had Tortilla soup and fajita plate. Wife had same and some appetizers. Atmosphere is laid back. Mario took good care of us. HOLA MARIO! The mariachi that sings there is realy good and we took a picture with him.... more

Definitely recommend having breakfast here - it's not very crowded early in the morning, so you can get one of the tables by the window with a view of the water and the Malecón. The wait staff is quite friendly and speaks very good English. The menu is your standard American breakfast with a few Mexican variations - but the... more

After shopping along the Malecon, my boyfriend and I stumbled into Mi Querencia for lunch. Actually it wasn't quite lunch time but the staff said it was no problem and they gave us lunch menus. We started with the Guacamole which they came over and made right in front of us...Delicious! I make it at home now and it tastes... more

This was our first time in PV, and we stumbled on this place by accident! Us girls had to use the washroom, and we just happened to be in front of this restaurant, so we went in. We ended up staying for quite a while. We never ate anything, but we drank quite a bit! We really enjoyed the atmosphere.... more

Before writing this I had to do some googling to make sure that I had been to the same restaurant as the above reviewers, as our experience was quite contrary to those previous. We found this restaurant to be too loud (a combination of street noise and in house music to mask the street noise) to hold a conversation and... more

Maybe my review is a bit unfair as I did not actually eat in Mi Querencia; I realized too late that it was listed in my Lonely Planet guide as a great place to go for ceviche. Mi Querencia was conveniently located to where our hotel shuttle was dropping us. Twice used it as a bathroom stop at the end... more

The title says it all, in our 20 years of having a timeshare and searching for good restaurants this place absolutely takes the cake. The staff made us not only feel welcome but like we were part of their family from the moment we were welcomed at the door by Cesar and Xochil. The food was phenomenal, their chipotle shrimp... more

It has a sports-bar feel to it, the food is good and the beer is cold. They make their own tortillas, and have a make-your-own taco bar. Plus it's right on the main drag, facing the Malecon. more

The greatest experience after the rain. When we were in Vallarta it rained on and off for three days, one of those days it started raining when we were walking the malecon, we saw the sign and decided since it was almost dinner time we would stop there to dry and eat. We were not prepared for the amazing food... more
