Overpriced, food is ok

Two of us had fried whole red snapper. It was ok, not much flavor, cost 185 pesos. Higher than average. Another person had the coconut shrimps and said they were delicious, a large portion, 10 or so shrimps but cost 385 pesos. Outrageous. The mahi mahi was good. The restaurant itself is large, not... read more

We enjoyed a dinner and a breakfast at this restaurant. The dinner we had was so delicious once again. We had dinner here in 2001 with our children and remembered how friendly the staff was. When we returned this year, we were not disappointed. It was also recommended as a wonderful breakfast place as well. We made a point of... More

As you look at the huge well equipped and stocked kitchen, you realize these are no amateurs, the bar has high quality liquors, the waiters are very professional, gracious. Freshly baked muffins and breads for breakfast, our biggest problem was choosing what to eat. Not a bad problem any eating location.

We discovered this restaurant a few years ago (an easy walk from the Sheraton) & try to return each time we're in PV. Food is very good & decent size portions. Really enjoy the fajitas & fish.

Have eaten here several years in a row since the restaurant is only a short walk from the Sheraton Timeshares. The staff are very attentive and we have never had to wait an undue amount of time for anything. The guacamole prepared table side is always a favorite and the shrimp tacquitos from the appetizer section were wonderful. The margaritas... More

My husband had the traditional scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and pancakes! There was a large amount of food and he managed to clean his plate. I had a omelette and my here choices were ham, mushrooms and spinach. It was excellent, but I could not eat all of it because he was so big. The wait staff is very attentive... More

Breakfast at El Andariego is a treat - it's a beautiful space. The room and staff make quite the impression. I wished the restaurant would have offered a piece of fruit with coffee as the "deal" instead of muffins and some pastry...as not everyone wants refined flour first thing in the morning and certainly not if your on a gluten... We stayed at Villa Premier and ate breakfast at Andariego several times and a light dinner once. The food is excellent and service top notch as well. Every time we walked by the place seemed busy, lots of locals as well as tourists. That's a "review" in itself.

El Andariego has been one of our favorite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta for the last 12 years. In fact, it is the only restaurant still open today that has been on that very short list. That makes El Andariego our favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. I start looking forward to next year's meal of Fish Filet Andariego Style about the... More
