We had breakfast here and it was great. The food and service are excellent. There was a great variety to pick from. They have traditional Mexican breakfast and American breakfast such as pancakes and waffles. I am a coffee lover so I like the fact that they pay attention to when your cup of coffee starts running low and offer... More

We live in Mexico a few months each year, and when we go out for breakfast I always order chilaquiles. So, I am a self/proclaimed expert on this fabulous Mexican dish. Chilaquiles ... corn tortillas deep fried in oil and covered with salsa ... sauce ... and sprinkled with cheese are served with beans, chicken, or pork and eggs any... More

The place was busy - very busy... but they were very well staffed and they still had fast great service -Thanks to Eddie our waiter! The $8 Pesos homemade pastry was a nice touch and the OJ is very fresh squeezed. We're coming back for sure next time.

We have eaten at Fredys Tucan several times over the years and have never been disappointed. We eat at lunch and therefore never have had major meals. The food is dependably good, the servers friendly, and the courtyard pleasurably relaxing. For a pleasant midday meal, Fredy's Tucan is hard to beat. We have never tried a serious seafood meal, so... We ate breakfast there one morning. The service was attentive and the food very good. We later went in to the bar for a liquado (fruit smoothy) that hit the spot. Again, very good service on a busy day.

Fredy's Toucan is more than a great restaurant-- it's a local institution. It reminds me of those legendary eateries like Pumpernik's and Rascal House in Miami Beach or Carnegie Delicatessen in New York. (These are places, like Fredy's, where you knew you could get a great breakfast or lunch, whatever your heart desired.) In the afternoon at Fredy's, we enjoyed... More

We only ate breakfast here and it was wonderful. The staff was great and friendly. It's actually hard to find bad food or bad service anywhere in Puerto Vallarta. Fredy's is located in the Romantic Zone. We loved Fredy's and would definitely go there again.

A friend and I just visited Fredys Tucan. We had heard that they had great chilaquilles and wanted to see for ourselves. I orders one of the combo plates so also got aracherra steak and eggs. The place was packed and we wondered if we were in a tourist trap but the meal was great. We sat at the open... More
