Love this restaurant! It is actually inside a Cistern! Food is great, never had a bad meal! Portions are large! Last time we ate there was prior to a concert at the theater.....we couldn't eat all the food on our plates! We didn't think it would be right to pack 'doggie bags' to the performance so regrettably, we had to... More

A friend and I had dinner there on 2/22/14. I had the mahi mahi which was excellent. The fish was fresh and moist, one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. I don't remember exactly what it was described as, only as a slightly sweet sauce. But whatever it was it was delicious. It came with mashed potatoes... More

From the moment you descend into El Aljibe (literally, the cistern) you know you're in for something different. The eclectic decor is very fun, lots of interesting things to look at! And then there's the food! Mexican food with a Spanish twist. Very well prepared and professionally presented. Good wine list as well.

More people came in after us so diners dine late here, I suggest the reservations. We ordered a picture of Sangria and an appetizer of tortilla wrapped crab. Both were great. The tortilla’s had a cream sauce... More

I enjoyed the Louisiana shrimp, very flavorful, service was outstanding. They have a good wine selection, great decorations and it is quiet inside. So nice to be able to have a dinner conversation. Worth the walk, will go again for sure
