Fresh, unique, awesome food!

Wonderful staff, fun, relaxed atmosphere. In from the beach or car is ok. Food is outstanding. I would highly recommend any soup they make as they are all perfect. Everything is fresh and really good, the staff is wonderful as well as Leanne the owner.

This Surfs Up restaurant is off the beaten trail, 2 kilometres of gravel road... But so worth it. Owned by a Canadian , this has such a lovely north of the border taste. I personally had the French toast dish called "Still Dreaming" and it is right. Because after you have finished and left the building.. You are still dreaming... More

There's a reason everyone knows Leanne and Tyler and their staff. Because no matter who you are or where you're from, they treat you like it's your place. I'm trying to remember a time I've seen Leanne without a huge smile on her face. It's obvious she loves what she does. OH! And the food is excellent. Handmade burgers. Homemade... More

We have been coming to Mazatlan for more than ten years but this was our first visit to Surf's Up Cafe. The ambiance is just what you would expect for a Surf's Up Cafe. We sat at a table with sand under our feet, right beside Emerald Bay. You could tell that there was a definite camaraderie among the guests.... More

The restaurant is located in a picturesque setting. It is a little out of the way but the beach is simply gorgeous. We went for the live music. They have a reggae band on Saturdays. The band was entertaining. :) As far as the restaurant...we entered from the beach, so the waitress did not see us. I had to go... More

I made it to Surfs Up on our recent trip and we would return. We were there for Reggae Saturday. The place was full and service was a little slow but the beers were cold when they arrived. The mac and cheese was not our favorite but the curry bowl was very good as was the empenada. Price was nice... More

We walked up from PBEB and had a wonderful afternoon sipping Mango Margaritas, trying the wonderful Carribean food (curried beef empañadas, gazpacho salad) and listening to the Reggae band with our feet in the sand. Anna, our waitress was super. Reserve in advance for a good seat on the oceanfront!

Wow. Who could asked for better. Great food, feet in the sand and a beautiful view of the Pacific. Whales and dolphins if you look carefully. This restaurant is off the beaten path but well worth the time and effort to get there. Everything from the latte to the hand pressed juice is incredible and every meal was a mouthwatering... More

Leanne was amazing! She went out of her way to make sure this was a special time for my wife and I. Dinner was prepared beautifully, it tasted delicious, and Leanne could not have been more gracious.
