In just a few short years El Faro restaurant on the Malecon has become a "go to" place for inexpensive quality food. Sitting outside looking out over the Pacific ocean or inside the restaurant is always a delight. The food is simple...no French sauces here. But, you will find a quality meal and a friendly staff awaiting you. The prices... More

I was so happy to see all the positive reviews about my favorite restaurant. I've seen folks eating there and enjoying it - so cool folks took the time to let everyone know about our local hangout and eatery. Cafe El Faro is easy to find. In Olas Alta - look for Hotel Bel Mar - or ask anyone.... There... More

We went to Cafe El Faro on the recommendation of Deb at Tippy Toes spa (which itself is a must-see in Maz). El Faro is on the "main drag" in Old Mazatlan in a strip of restaurants right across from the Olas Altas beach. I am a big fan of "the little things" so I was very excited that not... More

Manolo aka Manny - brought La Cueva Del Leon out of the ashes... Last year's greatest hit in Olas Altas. The owner of Cafe El Faro - the latest little upstart cafe en El Malecon de Olas Altas - managed to bring this master chef to our favorite hangout. Cheap plates - $50 - full meals and great food. Wonderful... More
