I ate at Gus y Gus at the Marina Mazatlan a couple days ago. I ordered the Spaghetti and Shrimp. It just sounded like fun. I was absolutely floored! I'm going to have a hard time describing it. It had a rich, red sauce that was superb. It was sweet, delicate and still a little bit spicy. I found that... More

We were disappointed. Food was so-so. Service was good. They were throwing cleaning solution around as we were being served. Not appetizing. Would not do dinner there again. May try breakfast.

GusGus is right on the main drag, easy to get to, always good food. Sometimes lots of smokers, but since it's open air, this isn't a problem. Reasonably priced and no reservations needed.

Of the two locations, this one is better simply because you can watch the sunset over the marina while dining. The menu is the same as the Golden Zone location, heavy on the seafood but with good options like ribs or a burger if your just not in the mood for Mexican food. The tortilla soup is excellent. If you... More

We went to Gus Gus marina tonight for dinner because we enjoy the music of Rafael. The food is ok here and the drinks are good. It's a fun atmosphere when there is live music because lots of people get up and dance. That's where the fun ended. We asked for our bill and after 20 minutes, the waiter came... More

We happened to be walking by this restaurant and heard the music, which was a marvelous acoustic guitarist. Stayed for three hours, service was efficient and friendly. Will go for dinner next time as other folks seemed pleased with their food.

This was a place we stopped just for happy hour and found a very fun bartender, Jesues. He was always happy and friendly to everyone and talked a mile a minute. He was full of information on everything going on in Mazatlan. The drinks were cheap and the food was good. We sat at the little bar and had a... More

My husband has eaten a lot of shrimp in his life but when he took his first bite of the Gus y Gus Shrimp he declared "This is the best shrimp I've ever eaten". The shrimp was huge and wrapped in bacon served with a cheese sauce, rice, and steamed vegetables. We all had to share a bite to see... More

The Gus y Gus by the marina is away from street noise and exhaust fumes. The music was played at a reasonable level, so you could enjoy it and still have a conversation with people in your group . It was very busy almost every night, but didn't feel crowded overwhelming. The service was good and so was the food.... More
