Description: Rico's Cafe opened in February, 2000 as Mazatlan's first cafe. Our simple desire was to inspire our customers by offering them a warm place to enjoy with friends Mexico's best coffees prepared by our trained baristas. Today we continue to enjoy a loyal following of customers who seek out our homemade breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and specialty crepes. We also offer freshly-baked breads and pastries, frappes and imported teas. Rico's terraces are a great environment for groups, our private sofas are for more intimate meetings and our bars and tables are great for meetings, free Internet use and family meals. Live music on weekends. Smiles and inspiration every day, all day long. QUE RICO!!

I had egg/bacon/spinach crepe and a fresh strawberry smoothie. Hubby had egg/bacon/potato burrito. Very flavorful (although I didn't really care for the roasted red pepper sauce the crepe was in)and great breakfast to start the day. I also found a great chocolate cake with cream cheese to take back to the room to help with my chocolate craving!

We discovered this place as it was just across our hotel in Hotel Zone and there were not too many places available for breakfast on Sunday morning. It looks like a small coffee shop but offers more than expected. They have a good choice of bagels, paninis and breakfast. There is also free wifi and air conditioning; so perfect for... More

I stopped in at Rico's right before sailing the Baja Bash. It was a very good breakfast with a nice patio overlooking one of Mazatlan's main streets. The breakfast was very nice, the coffee was superb in a city where good coffee is difficult to find. The service was a little on the slow side which is why they lose... More

We had always gone to Rico's in the Golden Zone for cake but this year had breakfast there a few times. They have a large and varied menu - omelets, waffles, french toast, blintzes. Their chocolate waffles with strawberries and berry blintzes are delicious and not found elsewhere.

Located in the Golden Zone, Rico's has the best coffee and a great breakfast/brunch menu! This is my first stop when arriving in Mazatlan. We stay at Royal Villas and have a coffee maker in our room. Rico's Chiapas Dark coffee is fantastic! The staff speak English and are very helpful. The pastries, sandwiches, breakfast entrees are perfect. Only place... More

We stopped here to get a good coffee drink (Mocha). The drink and the service was very good. We returned another day and got another Mocha. This place just appeals to me as one can duck out of the harsh sunlight and relax with a good drink and watch the traffic and people scurry past you at breakneck speed. Next... More

This is our first visit to Mazatlan. We have had breakfast at Rico's three mornings. I am not a coffee drinker so can't speak to that but I love a good breakfast and that's what we found here. The breakfast crepes are fabulous. My breakfast panini also was very tasty. They advertise fresh, farm to table food and we found that... More

Great breakfast with organic options! Hot and frozen coffees were good too! Was seated quickly and had great service! Loved the small coffee shop feel!

Just looking for a decent cup of coffee at around 2pm and we found this little coffee shop in el CID resort . Firstly we waited by the till to order where the barista decided if she ignored us long enough we'd go away. We didn't. so we ordered a cup of coffee with milk, a cinnamon latte, and a... More
