Stayed for several days and ate there twice a day. Food was very good and wait staff very helpful and attentive.

As you walk past the bar, you'll receive a friendly wave and an "OLA!!!" from Jose - he's been an employee at the resort for about 20 years. This is the start of the friendly service and hospitality that you will receive. As you make your way up the stairs, you will be greeted, yet again, hearing "Welcome my Friends!!"... More

Wonderful small restaurant found in the El Rancho resort. Service was excellent and food very good. We had a shrimp dish and grilled fish and both were fresh and well prepared. Prices were a little higher than other places around but still reasonable. It was not busy the night we were there - maybe three other tables. It is right... More

My wife and I came here yesterday because it was just a walk down the beach. We were literally the only people in there the entire night and the service was still horrible. The veggies obviously cane out of a frozen store bought bag and were microwaved to a sponge like grossness. I had the Mango shrimp and the shrimp... More

I think little ocean view restaurants like this are the reason people go to Mexico. The food and drinks were excellent, especially the shrimp dishes. You can pay all you want and you won't get a better view anywhere in the world. We loved this place!

It is pretty inconsistent. They cooked up my husbands catch of Mahi Mahi and Marlin. It was exquisite. Sometimes there didn't seem to be any staff and the bar tender took over. They tried hard.

On the first night of our 7 day vacation in Mazatlan, we went to La Fonda restaurant, and knew immediately, this would be the place we ate most of our meals for the week. We started with a couple of margaritas (happy hour ALL day there, 2 for one), and you get free salsa and chips right away. True Mexican... More

My family (4 adults, 2 children) ate at La Fonda during our recent vacation to Mazatlan and really enjoyed it. The view is superb, the service is great, and we found the food to be top notch. The menu had a few 'less than traditional' Mexican dishes which came in handy for a 5 year old and not quite 3... More

This place was so fun to eat at...it was small, relaxing and a great view....best of all it right on the ocean and its basically a tree house so you can hear the waves. Awesome! believe me, you wont feel rushed here:) also the food was good.
