Comfortable atmosphere

I travel along sometimes, and the Sports Saloon made me feel right at home. I've been coming to Mazatlan for a number of years and this is one of the first places I stop by because of the great food and a number of sports events lined up for entertainment.

We found this little piece of Canada about 5 years ago and have been back to it multiple times each time we have been in Mazatlan. Great food, cheap prices, awesome service and Canucks games are live and in English! A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and waiters that remember your name, even if you have not been there for... This saloon is a little difficult the find, because it is part of a back alley, but once your inside, that all changes. It is owned by a lady from Canada, and the walls are covered by Canadian sports memorabilia. The service is excellent, and the food is great.

Went for Christmas dinner in Mazatlan, the turkey and all the fixings was exactly like home. On another occasion I had the Tortilla soup which was the best I had in Mazatlan. I loved the soup because when they serve it all the fixings are on the side. Really good customer service, they offer a variety of activities, karaoke, sports,... More

Most Mexican restaurants know how to ruin food. The Saloon serves good food, with great service. Been there over and over as I know what I;m going to get and know I will enjoy it. They have a 99 peso special every night, that;s well worth trying. You could eat there every night, and enjoy it. My only disapointment, is... More

Wonderful, little sports bar with great service and good food. There are several big screen tv's with USA & Canadian sports. The menu features specials every day - often, Canadian food (including perogies, burgers, etc) as one of the owners is Canadian. The servings are ample, very tasty & reasonably priced. The ambiance is friendly and welcoming - especially when... More

Every time I hit Mazatlan I drive my wife crazy we have to go the the Saloon for the Coco shrimp and the potato wraps. IT IS A MUST FOR ME. The wife likes the potato skins. and in the few years that we have been going there they have never disapointed us. The service is a tad bit on... More

Good margaritas hand made and not from a mix. Daily dining specials, such as liver and onions and fish & chips make for a change from the Mexican specialties elsewhere. Friendly barstaff and free use of a Magic Jack phone for phone calls home complete the picture. Where else can you watch live curling on TV in Mazatlan?
