On the malecon

Actually across the street from the Malecon! Outside seating is great except it's also the sidewalk, like most restaurants on this street. Service and food very good. On our second visit the service was terrible but it was raining out very hard so we didn't mind having a dry spot to sit and relax. Two tables of 8-10 local workers... More

Delicious food, fesh amazing shrimps in so many different ways at Mazatlán and Sinaloa style, the waiters are so kind and gentle, always smiling and suggesting dishes. It is the first restaurant that became latter a chain named Carlos & Charlie's, all over the Country. You feel like coming back since the first visit. It's not expensive and every day... More

Good food reasonably priced, great location in Centro across the street from the malecon and the beach. While shrimp is their big seller, local dishes are good. We ate here three times, a lunch, a snack, and a dinner.

While in Mazatlan I always look forward to the fresh shrimp. You would think the "Shrimp Bucket" would take pride in having the freshest shrimp.....NOT. We stopped for lunch and about the only thing good was cold beer, although a little more expensive than others. I love fresh chips & salsa (pico de gallo) and always order that first with... More

We shared a Shrimp Bucket, the coating on the breaded shrimp was salty and found the shrimp to be dry. At the bottom of the bucket were greasy french fries. The service was amazing, really like our waitress and the cervasa quenched our thirst. If you want a quiet outside restaurant to dine at, this is not the place because... More

Reported to be the oldest reataurant in Mazatlan, El Shrimo Bucket was a disappointment to us. Our party of six were eagerly expecting a shrimp fest in the self-proclaimed "shrimp capital of the world" but were doomed to disappointment to varying degrees. Some members of our party were more satisfied with their food than my wife and I, but we... More

We've been going to Mazatlan for about eight years and we always visit The Shrimp Bucket. However, I was disappointed this year. We ordered the Shrimp Boat, as we have in the past, but this time it just wasn't as good. The shrimp seemed to be under cooked and there was too much batter on the shrimp. Maybe it was... More

there are to many great places in mazatlan to waste your time here. had a solo pre dinner snack here and i would rate it mediocre to bad. i always hesitate to write a bad review because peoples jobs are on the line and they have nothing to do with bad management decisions. having said that, hopefully this will go... DH & I had enquired around on the best place for shrimp and were given the name of the El Shrimp Basket. Perhaps from other reviews it may not be what it used to be and I have truly savoured many a shrimp, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the garlic shrimp and DH had the shrimp basket both... More
