The staff is friendly, the food is really good, staff speaks English. The price for a steak is 180 pesos. It's worth your visit, the bean and meat soup is also very good. Great ambiance!

Unique atmosphere and the best food we've had in Manzanillo so far. The boyfriend had the adobo rabbit and I have the Mexican plate. Both were tremendous and so tasty we had to pause and just savor. We started with the lengua tacos and can't recommend them enough. The salsa platter and the fresh made FLOUR tortillas are the cherry... More

Very good to excellent steak house in Manzanillo. Casual atmosphere, big portions and excellent prices (about 20USD per person including a couple of Negra Modelos). The prime rib was excellent, but the other cut I had (I think it was called an Argentina cut) was very good but a little tougher than the prime rib. All things considered, I highly... More

I have been there three times and hated it each time. Will never go back even if someone else is paying.

We went to this restaurant twice while in Manzanilo. My children really enjoyed their meals, steak, tacos, fajitas and steamed clams! I had the shrimp Mocahete bowl and it was ok, the shrimp was good the sauce was not. My father had the chicken Mocahete bowl that came with a green sauce and it was amazing! The only thing we... My wife and I met up with another couple from home and went to El Fogon for dinner on the recommendation of the concierge at their resort. We arrived and had several drinks before ordering, snacking on the tortilla chips and various salsas on the table. Also ordered guacamole as the salsas had a lot of kick to them. Our... More

But don't let that you stop from enjoying a meal at El Fogon. With careful planning you will get there. Located between Cabillitos and Mr. Sushi and across the street from Boston Steakhouse on the Main Street San Miguel. El Fogon offers knowledgable waiters, some speak English. The food was good not great. We ordered a Mocahete bowl and the... More

Not sure what the actual name of the dish is? ( I always forget) You can get this dish in Pork, Chicken or Beef. It's much like a spicy Stew. Don't fill up on all the appies that bring to your table!!!! When they bring you this dish it is boiling and continues to boil for a very long time... More

Nice open air space on Main Street. Fans cooled the area to comfortable. Woman on front making fresh tortillas. Excellent. Great salsa appetizers. Excellent soup to start. Mexican plate very good. Good selection of beef steaks imported from Texas and Argemtina - frozen. should have thawed prior to cooking. Results of cooked meat were not good. A shame for what... More

We actually ended up eating here twice on on trip. On the first day, I had the pork shank (chamorro) and it was delicious (just as I had remembered it from a trip 10 years ago!) and my 5 year old daughter had the rabbit and loved it. I can't recall everyone else's meals but they were enjoyed as well... More
