We had a delicious salmon special and chicken salad for a late night meal after the parade. Very friendly owners, T is also the chef to boot.

Pretty good food.. nice sized portions.. good atmosphere. The food is a little hit and miss though.. one time execellent, others just so so. Sometimes, rarely, not too good at all. I guess it depends on how the cook feels.

We went with a fairly large group and Manny closed the restaurant for us. Now, I have to admit, I am not a great fish lover or a very adventurous eater, we had prearranged for Manny and T to prepare her fish chowder and Dourado for all of us. The fish broth was excellent, and full of a variety of... More

6 of us enjoyed a great meal at Schooners new location. We ordered a variety of items and each of us not only enjoyed our meal but wish we had room to try more. We were met at the door with a smile and the service was friendly and fun. Food delicious, drinks cold and ambience great. What more can... More

I have been a regular customer at Schooners for three years...The food is always fresh and well prepared.. but the real secret is the ingenuity of Chef T who delights in creating off menu dishes made with fresh local ingredients to surprise her customers...This last Saturday I was treated to culinary delight.." Pulpo en su Tinta"...The Octopus, freshly caught was... More

Have been eating at Schooners regularly for the past 3 years while visiting. Never had a bad meal in all that time. Food freshly cooked, service is excellent. Manny is excellent host and "T" is probably the best chef in Santiago. Most people returning to Santiago make this their first stop for food. Would recommend to all for a great... More

Thought we'd try Schooners the other week after receiving a recommendation. All the food seemed to be cooked from frozen rather than fresh. Chicken was inedible - like rubber Lacked extras like salsas, tortillas, etc Poor taste, inattentive service (and we were the only clientele) and no ambience Now I know why it's almost aways empty And it wasn't cheap... They have moved down the road just north of the "tienges market". I love the new location which is appropriately called: "Schooners II". All the food there is great but their BBQ ribs are fantastic!
