The place lacked comfort and interest. It was too hot but wasn't even outside. Stuffy. Needed a fan over our table. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. Recommended bus local taxi driver.

My wife and I went to this restaurant during our stay at beautiful Huatulco, and I have to say the most AWESOME oaxaca food you´ll ever try. I tried the "tlayudas", "mole" and "tasajo" meat at other places in Oaxaca, but the food at this family restautant is"taste it to believe it". The waiters were kind, helpfull and really nice;... I am glad I did my TA research - I knew I had a couple meals coming in town and had Tlayudas Arely down as my number one stop. This is my kind of hole in the wall - great local's place. Large portions, low pieces, a nice mescal after lunch / dinner. (The reposado was rested over lychee fruits).... More

After going to Arely's for years, it is time for a review. A wonderful local place that has the best food in La Crucecita. From tlayudas to tostados, to tortas, to posole, this place rocks. They have the coldest beer and the cheapest mescal in town. The staff have been there for years and the family that runs the place... More

So much to like about this place. The quesillo is fantastic, the horchata delicious, cervezas cold and the tlayudas are massive. Nice service and good local hangout. Definitely recommended.

My family has vacationed here twice, so between all the visiting relatives we have eaten here 4 times in the last 14 months. The food is really over the top delicious and so inexpensive. If you like authentic Oaxacan food, look no further. I highly recommend the tortas and pozole! But the enmolada and enfrijoladas is very authentic, too! The... More

We love this place! Chicken tacos, pork tortas (sandwich with cheese, peppers, tomato, onion...), two Victoria beers, chips & salsas for 96 pesos ($7)!! Adorable family running the place, you can sit at the bar and watch them make your food. We will be back!

My wife and I do a lot of international traveling and really enjoy sampling the local cuisine. We visited on Tuesday evening last week and were extremely disappointed. Based on the reviews we were expecting a quaint local restaurant (true) and good food (not). We both ordered quesadilla's which was not correct but that was a language problem on our... More
