While I thought the seafood platter for 2 at $65 was a little pricey, we weren't disapointed when it arrived. Lobster, giant shrimp fish rice and veggies cooked on the street on a wood fire. Tasty! The accompaning shrimp coctail very good too. Service good-recommend!

We first discovered Alebrijes a couple of years ago. At that time, I wrote a very positive review of the place, and knew we'd be back. Well, just to update my previous review, the food is still excellent, and the portions are still big! This time, my wife had the coconut shrimp, and I had the beef arrachera. Both were... More

Went here for dinner with our in laws. Had seen good things from tripadvisor and weren't disappointed. Just a block from our condo, this place had great food, awesome service and they cook your meal on a BBQ in front of the restaurant. We all had the BBQ pork ribs and they were fall off the bone delicious!! Only part... More

This place is worth going too. The negatives first. The onion soup is not what it is made out to be. Presentation is great but our broth was not very tasty, it lacked body and if you are expecting French onion soup you will be very disappointed. The positive, the seafood soup was excellent, you will be mopping up the... More

Becoming one of our favourite places to go to. Large portions, from past experience we've learned to share. One order of large shrimp, which comes with rice, and veg's and one order of salad. The shrimp was the same size as the small lobster they added to our meal. We love watching the chief cook our meal on the grill... More

We had walked by this restaurant from a nearby all-inclusive thinking about a meal away from the hotel. The staff are extremely warm and provide the very best in service to make your time with them a happy experience. We both enjoyed the open grilled ribs dinner and ended up with a "doggy bag" as the portions are very large... More

We had the onion soup once before and it was a real treat. It's a meal in itself! The broth is wonderful and the home made bread its topped off with is fantastic! It doesn't have the melted cheese (would be a 5 with the cheese) but definitely worth trying. On our second visit for the soup we asked to... More

If you are looking for a change from the usual hotel fare, this would be my reccomendation hands down. We ate there twice during our two week stay in Huatulco and definitely will return. First of all the staff are fantastic, warm, welcoming, and able to answer any questions about the menu in English (since we are not fluent in... More

If you are heading to Huatulco, you MUST stop in at Alebrijes! It was the highlight of my trip last year (Feb.2012), so much so, that we are doing all over again this year! Can not wait! The food was amazing as were the beverages *hic* & most importantly, the staff! Everyone at Alebrijes were incredibly kind to us Canadians,... More

We love everything about this place. The people are warm and welcoming, the food is amazing, and the drinks are nice and strong. We have had everything from the fish tacos to the surf and turf and they have even been so kind as to cook the fish my husband caught earlier in the day. Luis is the manager and... More
