I've heard the entire menu at this small local restaurant is fantastic but we just can't seem to get past the chicken soup! There's nothing like sweating in Mexico, eating hot soup and sipping a cold Victoria! Was it 2 or 3 visits this time? Can't recall but either way its never enough! Missed seeing grandpa this time! Hope all... More

On the corner of a laid back street. Open air, sitting on benches with sort of picnic tables or a long wooden eating bar facing the street. Although we went to a lot of good restaurants in the Huatulco area, this is the only one we went to twice. Great home-made food! Tostadoes and other foods that I can't spell... More

Just a couple blocks off the square. The food is authentic. Soups are to die for, with tones of flavour. This is where the locals eat, and you can see why. Great food, for a reasonable price.

Although you may think it is a little hot for having soup, you must try it - the chicken soup and the pazole are both excellent. We have also tried many of the Mexican items - they make a great mole. The service is fast and friendly all at a very low price.

This has to be one of the better places in Huatulco. We ate here a couple of times and loved it each time. The Tlayudas (basically a steak and cheese sandwich) were great and a bargain at 40 pesos. The mole negro was also excellent. We liked the Caldo (Chicken soup) as well. You can also get salad for 50... More

This is the soup I've been looking for as we have traveled through Mexico for the past two weeks and I finally found it! Delicious chicken soup with vegetables and cilantro. The enchiladas were fresh and the doblado (like a quesadilla) with potato and chorizo was a good app. Lots of sauces were provided. The waiter even gave us a... More

We have been to Hautulco a few times now and always make a special effort to make sure that we have at least one meal at Los Gallos. The service is exceptional and the food need I say anything more is outstanding. Everything on the menu is delicious. This is a quant restaurant, on the street and open air but... More

Back off the zocalo + main streets, many patrons sit on chairs on the street at a counter facing into this busy, open air, vibrant restaurant. Many locals eat there. It is great to watch all the food being made; the air brimming with aromas of delicious cooking. The pozole is my favourite; however it's all good! Portions are generous;... More

This is a Cenaduria type restaurant offering deep fried fare common in Mexico. The roll taco style "flautas" where delicious and so the were the sopes. Had the "swiss enchiladas" and chose the chicken meat ones to my delight. The fresh salsa's added a great kick to the servings. Although hot during my visit I tried the Tlalpeno Soup and... More
