Had dinner here with my parents and was amazing meal. We sat at the table overlooking the courtyard. The owner is an adorable Canadian- turned Mexican immigrant. She is delightful and excellent chef. Food is fresh and delicious.

We have been enjoying Jane’s hospitality for many years. Great Sandwiches and salads for lunch and a creative and delicious dinner menu. Her recent travels to Thailand brought some incredible Thai flavors to her dinner specialties. I really enjoy the views of the park and the lending library as well. Café Juanita offers great food and Jane’s involvement in many... More

Cafe Juanita was amazing. The food is perfectly prepared. I have yet to have a meal there that didn't have me craving more. Everything I tried was amazing. The cactus (yes, cactus) tacos are killer. Im a Texan. Prickly pear cactus are a nuisance. OMG, I never thought they could taste so good. My mouth is watering just typing this... More

Cafe Juanita owned and operated by the academic, artisitc, philanthropic and gorgeous Jane Bauer where it is obvious she personally takes pride in every aspect of your experience. Up above the ground, shaded by lovely trees we sit in little balconies taking in the sights below right across from the auditorium and steps from the beach. I've gone alone many... More

The rickety stairs to climb up to the Cafe Juanita are a poor intro to a great find. Interesting cuisine with influences from different continents, fresh and well prepared, and at very competitive prices, we enjoyed an excellent dinner this week. Fresh tuna, octopus, salads, warm bread and wine by the glass proved a fine ending to another delightful day... More

Cafe Juanita is a great little restaurant. We had dinner there a couple of times with a party of 6. The entrees and salads were always great. I took part in one of the cooking classes that was lots of fun besides being informative. Jane is a gracious and engaging hostess

We had the Indonesian chicken baguette sandwich and we are glad wevdecided to share as it was a big meal. No garnish or frills so don't expect a lot presentation-wise but it did come with spicy pickled veggies which we added to our sandwich. It was delicious. We also had a mango soothie and coffee, which were also nice. The... More

Went to Cafe Juanita's for lunch. Had the chicken sandwich. It was good. Nice to look at the market while waiting for our lunch. Want to go for fish taco Fridays.

We went into Café Juanita for lunch. We were delighted to find great sandwiches and luscious salads. A very welcome change from the usual Mexican fare. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the view from the restaurant over the town square was fun. Saturday is the farmer's market in the square so it was great people watching.

Whenever I'm in Mexico, I look forward to eating chilaquiles. If you've never had them, you must try them. They sound a bit odd to the uninitiated, but are a delicious go-to brunch item kind of like spicy morning nachos... With eggs. I've tried the chilaquiles in five different places in town and the order at Cafe Juanita was by... More
