Cafe Juanita owned and operated by the academic, artisitc, philanthropic and gorgeous Jane Bauer where it is obvious she personally takes pride in every aspect of your experience. Up above the ground, shaded by lovely trees we sit in little balconies taking in the sights below right across from the auditorium and steps from the beach. I've gone alone many... More

The rickety stairs to climb up to the Cafe Juanita are a poor intro to a great find. Interesting cuisine with influences from different continents, fresh and well prepared, and at very competitive prices, we enjoyed an excellent dinner this week. Fresh tuna, octopus, salads, warm bread and wine by the glass proved a fine ending to another delightful day... More

Cafe Juanita is a great little restaurant. We had dinner there a couple of times with a party of 6. The entrees and salads were always great. I took part in one of the cooking classes that was lots of fun besides being informative. Jane is a gracious and engaging hostess

We had the Indonesian chicken baguette sandwich and we are glad wevdecided to share as it was a big meal. No garnish or frills so don't expect a lot presentation-wise but it did come with spicy pickled veggies which we added to our sandwich. It was delicious. We also had a mango soothie and coffee, which were also nice. The... More

Went to Cafe Juanita's for lunch. Had the chicken sandwich. It was good. Nice to look at the market while waiting for our lunch. Want to go for fish taco Fridays.

We went into Café Juanita for lunch. We were delighted to find great sandwiches and luscious salads. A very welcome change from the usual Mexican fare. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the view from the restaurant over the town square was fun. Saturday is the farmer's market in the square so it was great people watching.

Whenever I'm in Mexico, I look forward to eating chilaquiles. If you've never had them, you must try them. They sound a bit odd to the uninitiated, but are a delicious go-to brunch item kind of like spicy morning nachos... With eggs. I've tried the chilaquiles in five different places in town and the order at Cafe Juanita was by... More

We enjoyed the best dinner last night at Cafe Juanita, located in the square at Santa Cruz bay. Beautiful setting with Mexican flair and unique flavors at very reasonable prices. We shared two different salads beautifully presented, fresh and flavorful. We all tried different entrees - a grilled tuna, tasty pork chop, and beef fillet that melted in your mouth.... More

During our stay in Huatulco we had a charming breakfast at Cafe Juanita as we overlooked the zocalo during Saturday morning farmer's market. It was our last morning in the area before returning home to Minnesota and what a great way to end our trip. We also had a chance to meet Juanita who is really friendly and super involved... More

Just proves again that great food does not need to be prepared in a modern, large kitchen. Presentation., taste and fair prices. What more can you ask for
