The food and the service was good. We had the "Taste of Oaxaca". However, the constant flow of panhandles was very distracting. The worst was the xylophone player just outside. When he passed through the restaurant looking for money, I would have payed him not to play any more.

In our week in Huatulco, we found ourselves heading back to Sabor de Oaxaca many times. We sampled the moles--i loved the coloradito. And everyone loved the shrimp cocktail, with LOTS of delicious shrimp in a great salsa. Also an avocado salad, chilaquiles--really everything. The restaurant itself could not be a more pleasant, and the service is truly excellent.

A lot of reviewers really like this restaurant. We thought it was OK. The mole was not very inspired and piled on by the gallons. If you get a mole stick to the dark. Service is pleasant and the margarida was quite good. Better fare can be found at Onix and Terra Cotta, but this restaurant is OK.

We read about El Sabor on TripAdvisor and decided to look for it. It was well worth the trip. The food was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were wonderful. Great value.

The food was amazing here-- the moles, the tamales, the drinks, the everything. We came back here twice just to try different things on the menu, all very delicious. By far our favorite restaurant in la Crucecita. Come here if you want a taste of real Oaxacan food! Not to mention the wait staff were very nice and quick, as... More

We ate here several times during our stay in Huatulco and really enjoyed the marguaritas... and mole negro. The service was lovely.

Very professional, pleasant service, nice atmosphere and good food. Tamales were delicious. Chapaulines were good but beware - it is a huge order of grasshoppers!

We had the sampler plate (can't remember what it was called) to taste various types of Oaxacan food. Delicious!!! The atmosphere and service was great. They even brought us some grasshoppers so we could taste them (without charge). I do wish we could have ordered a sampler of the 7 different moles. The restaurant might consider adding that to the... My mole with chicken was great, my husband's tilapia was very garlicky but good. It was a great first night dinner to get reacquainted with oaxacan cuisine.
