Nt as it used to be

This restaurant used to be a reference for good food and excellent service.... The service is about the same as in the past but food quality is lower as well as the quantity. Don't believe the menu when it says you will have a 350 gr cut.... looks more like 200 gr.

On a whim decided to go to Carmenere to try something light before going to the concert. I have read great reviews and have really wanted to try this place.. I ordered shrimp tacos and non alcoholic lemonade. Did not have a long wait and was surprised that the tacos did not have corn tortillas and instead came with thin... More

Returned to this restaurant after a long absence and I'm not sure why we stayed away so long. One of my best meals in Acapulco. As soon as we were seated we were advised they were out of one of their salads and no flank steak that evening. I was a little disappointed as I wanted the flank steak but... More

Once again we spent the winter in Acapulco as we have for many many years. Carmenere is still the best restaurant inAcapulco. The food is always consistantly great. The service outstanding and the ambiance is wonderful. The owners are always there to personally greet you and tend to your every need. All this and reasonable prices. Who could ask for... More

I don't give out 5 stars often but this restaurant deserves them. It is located in a small strip mall off Costera Miguel Aleman. It has a quiet, intimate atmosphere. I had the rib eye steak, which was tender and well marbled with a delightful Italian sauce. I cannot recall better service in a restaurant. Really! The English was a... More

I went to Carmenere tonight with my family and a few friends. I've been before but not in the last few years. We all agreed it was our best meal of the trip so far. With 2 weeks to visit I like to make ever restaurant count and Carmenere is a not to be missed restaurant. From my wife's salad... More

The best restaurant in Acapulco! We have been here twice this season and the beef is so tender you could eat with a fork. Francisco our waiter was the best, one of our party as celebrating her 80th birthday and Francisco provided cake etc.

Last year a friend of ours recommended the Carmenere. We went once last year before we left and we were very enthusiastic about the ambiance but especially about the food. So, this year as we spend 5 months in Acapulco, we've decided to go at least once a month. We invited a friend to join us for a nice supper... More

Carmenere does not have a view of the bay. It is beautiful inside: small and elegant. Views are forgotten when the food arrives. Delicious in every regard with service to match. Jose and Mayta have created a restaurant I would be proud to visit in NYC.
