If you are looking up for seafood "El Amigo Miguel" isn't the best option. The service was poor, all the seafood wasn't fresh. it is true the prices are very low but if you prefer to save 200$ pesos per person you will not have water in the restrooms. That was our experience and we finish dinning in McDonalds :(

I would not consider going to Acapulco and NOT going at least once to one of these three El Amigo Miguel restaurants. I have been going for many many years and have never been disappointed. Especially for the price you pay, you get very good quality dishes. I've eaten at many Mexico seafood restaurants, including many in Acapulco, during the... More

We went here because we read it was a good seafood restaurant in old Acapulco. They had seafood and are in old Acapulco. Having said that, let me say that as someone who enjoys food, even bad food can leave you with a funny story, but el Miguel's left me feeling a little sick. The service was great. The drinks... More

The original retaurant is in downtown Acapulco. We went to a new facility on the beach. The address is "Costera Miguel Aleman", the main strip, infront of the Hotel El Cid. Now for the restaurant: food is great!, fresh, good portions and adequate price. What else would you want? Besides service is excellent, cheerful faces and good advice. Live music... More

Highly recommended as an excellent seafood restaurant. Suggestion for menu selection were a filet of fish wrapped around and stuffed with shrimp and octopus or a rice and seafood dish with fresh shrimp, squid, octopus and fish. I ordered the stuffed fish and the wife ordered the rice dish. Both were delivered to the table within in a minute from... More

Going to Acapulco and not eating at El Amigo Miguel is like not being there. Food is fresh and tasty, prices very affordable and service is very good. Live music and view of the beach.

My fish was bad, my dad's pulpo was bad, my wife's seafood cocktail was also not great. They ran out of corn tortillas. The margarita was decent and my mother in laws shrimp soup seemed okay, but overall this place was a huge disappointment.

We just returned from a four day stay in Acapulco with our two teenage children. Three of the four nights we had super food unfortunately Amigo Miguel can not be counted among them. This restaurant was recommended highly in all three of the travel books we brought with us as having "good, reasonably priced seafood on the beach" but we... More
