The food was good, felt little over priced. You can get the taste of Mexican food not just beans and Tortillas. Worth a visit,

We had a romantic dinner in the open air. Guacamole with homemade chips is a must have. The shrimp brochette was delicious, the chicken chalupa dipping sauce was awesome, a spicy jalapeño with guacamole. Live music to add to the atmosphere. We only have a week, but this one is worth eating twice.

Good location. It's right on the main Avenue so you can see the traffic go by, but it's like being in an Oasis - shady, cool and breezy. They have live music (a singer, who's very talented), but it's not loud enough to be disruptive. Great ambiance, food and drinks, interesting décor (colorful murals on the walls and chairs), and... Visited several times while we stayed at the nearby Hotel Elcano. Staff and owners are welcoming and very helpful. The food is splendid and reasonably priced. The décor is wonderful, with lovely murals and some beautiful masks that once hung in the closed Mask Museum. On Thursdays, a full house of locals enjoying pozole and authentic entertainment is open to... More

El Jaguar Restaurant (Av. Costera M. Aleman #79) is an open air Mexican restaurant next to the entrance to a nice public beach. We stumbled upon it and had a wonderful American breakfast of eggs and bacon, orange juice and coffee (great). We returned for a late breakfast the next day and, when they found they were out of bacon,... More

I really wanted to like this place. Convenient to hotels, attractive, nice view if you sit in the back, I really wanted the food to match the setting. Sigh. The fish had spent to much time in the freezer, and the "filet" had hard chewy dark parts, basically inedible. The green sauce was quite good, but it was hiding a... More

Nearby our hotel just to change I ended up several times in this surprisingly real Mexican place. Acapulco receives so many foreigners I was surprised to find normal people, delicious guacamole and chips, good fish and green or red rice. Cheap home cocked family run restaurant.
